Every time I watch Doomed his voice just really bugs me. It sounds so different than usual like a lot more English. Was wondering if anyone else noticed it and knows why or if I'm just hearing things haha.

He's super badly dubbed in the scene in his garden where Buffy is freaking out about the portents. It's so distracting. Usually it's done for reasons of adjusting the tone. Sometimes a character can come across as too combative and they'll change the performance in post. You can sometimes tell because the facial expressions don't match the emotions (or lack of) in the voice.

Or it could just be that someone dun goofed on the sound that day.

Yep, bad dubbing for some reason. Both outside Giles house and also later on when Giles says 'my contrition completely dwarfs the impending apocalypse' or whatever.
Maybe his boom mike wasn't working for those scenes. It was a quiet mike (he he).
