Maggie would have been a great Big Bad. She was a scientist and academic and should have know better, but she was a true beliver in the superiority of humans over demons. She was a fascist, but she was a far more interesting character than Adam

Maggie would have been better but I'm not sure how they would have a final battle with her as a big bad. It's true she was much more interesting than Adam, but at least Adam could create a situation that entailed a battle.

It's such a shame Maggie couldn't stick around, with Adam as her muscle. That way, Buffy could have stopped Adam easily but she could never kill a human. She'd have to stop Maggie another way. That would be interesting to see.

I think that the original plan actually was for Maggie to be the Season Big Bad, but the actor left for another series. If she had stayed, she and Adam could have made a formidable pair, especially if she had been able to augment her own physical abilities with a chip, the way that she boosted Riley.

Maggie Walsh would've been an amazing Big Bad. The whole "science vs magic" argument would really be solidified if she had stayed until the end of the season, and we could've had some amazing conflict between old tradition (Maggie) and new (Buffy). Adam should've only been used near the end, so when Maggie finally unleashed him in "Primeval", he would've been more scary and more effective as a killing machine.

Yeah I think Adam was probably the weakest BB on Buffy. There was a decent idea behind him, but in practice he turned into a cliche of Frankenstein's Monster and was just a bland muscle bound beast. I'm not sure the actor playing him was the best either or maybe it was the writing that let him down. The best moments with Adam was when he was working with Spike. They should have made more of that partnership. Spike in effect could have been like a wrestling manager working with a wrestling who doesn't have the verbal skills or talent to tell the story. Lets face it this was before Spike was signed up to the Scoobies. He was an in-between character so there was room to have him work with Adam for five or six episodes.

Back on topic yeah I think Maggie would have made a better big bad:p

Not sure. Think it was about mid-season four when she was killed off so my guess is she would have be in it up to the end (bar Restless) in the original plan.

Well Maggie dead in episode 13 and she appear as clone in episode 21.

So I don't think Maggie would had appear in two Faith episodes and I don't think Maggie would had appear in Superstar or Where the Wild Things Are and like you said Restless.

But maybe they included her in restless if she was season long big bad.

So I think New Moon Rising and The Yoko Factor and possibly Restless would had been only extra two or three episodes she would appear in.

Well true the BB doesn't have to appear in every episode. But if she was the season's big bad than I think it would stand to reason than she would be in more episodes than not in the back half of the season.

Walsh was initially intended to be the big bad but the actress got another role and was unavailable.
