Why are there two different versions of "Bargaining"?

On the streaming versions in the U.S. (Hulu and Netflix), when Xander reads Giles's goodbye letter, the scene has Giles's voice narrating the letter. But on our DVD it's Xander narrating the entire letter.

Honestly, no idea. Sometimes there are differences between aired versions of episodes. It may have been that contractually Nick Brendon had the line originally, and Anthony Head re-dubbed it - or vice versa. It may have been because Anthony Head was a 'special guest star' for Season 6 and there were certain contractual obligations they had to meet for that.

I've had a look on the Buffy wikia but nothing is stated. So, I guess unless anyone else knows, it's a mystery. :)
