Fred was way less annoying.

Oh, this was tricky... I'm going with Fred but only because it was my gut reaction. If I start to think about it I might be here all day.

I don't like how Fred was basically just turned into an accessory for either Gunn or Wes. I didn't think I would, but I went with River. She's the better character.

Wish we had Illyria. I'd have voted the hell out of her.

I went with River, but it was a really hard choice.

I guess I went with Fred because of the characters growth. If it was based on how she debuted, think I would have gone with River, but you do see a lot of different sides to thread along the way, and Acker plays them so well. I like River, but it is basically the same character all the way through.

If there were more episodes of Firefly I might have grown to like River but it was only towards the end of the show that I found her interesting, at the start she was slightly annoying.

I've liked Fred since she first showed up.

Now here on the other hand we got two characters I like. Tough one.

At least Fred had her cave!moment and bullet!moment. River only had a stupid dance-reavers-to-death moment that didn't make any sense at all.
