Sure, Lindsey was a cool character that had a good run. But in the end I don't think he's that special so he can beat one of the icons of BtVS.

You know what? When looking and thinking about it, I went Lindsey. I didn't think we got enough of Lindsey and when his character was on, he was always on. Sometimes Giles didn't work for me. So I surprised myself and went with Lindsey- evil hand and all.

There was only a few who could beat Lindsey, hell I'd even pick him over Buffy and Angel, but Giles does it. His intensity on screen when he brings the darkness is amazing, eg when he kills Ben.
