Check out the BOOM comics instead. Tara has not made an appearance yet, but Willow has a girlfriend with the same name as you.

Or since I got season twelve and if this happens at all its in a coda that is easily ignorable you could just read the DH comics and you know make up your own mind

If you don't believe the writers, believe Taylor Swift:

It’s clear that Willow still loves her, but the writers decided that instead of mourning or honoring Tara, she should be snogging Kennedy.

No, I’m not salty that they married those two characters, why do you ask?

Can you point to where they did that as I've not seen it in any content I've ever consumed - the married part as I've read all the Dark horse seasons?

I don’t like the comics in general but one thing I actually didn’t like about them is that they just never allowed Willow to really move on from Tara. Any love interest she had was always with the caveat ‘but she still loves Tara best!’ Like Tara died when Willow was 21, it’s totally fine to move on and find another relationship and fall in love.

The comics were incredibly lazy with relationship writing though

Spoilers - Kennedy and Willow break up in the comics though? Kennedy is largely absent after that

Willow makes a reference to "past loves" in her vows to Kennedy, but that is it, I'm afraid. Maybe Tara will return in one of the two new permutations of the 'verse.
That aged badly.

Since 2019, no Tara. And on anything Whirlwind, no Darla either

After Angel & Faith's 2nd volume (and under the S10 banner) that was the last we see of her and the Deepscan security company

Hilariously she managed to outlast Rona who only got so much as a name drop in S8

The only reason for Tara to return, aside from Buffy's meeting with God and her subsequent boon, would be a story about Willow not accepting loss. But that would undo one of the better told stories in season 7, Willow learning to grieve.

Also, how did they afford her gravestone? I know there's a lot about Tara 's backstory that doesn't make any sense, but the Scoobies are dirt poor this season, and Tara's family doesn't live in Sunnydale. Unless Giles paid for it before returning to Hogwarts, it's still pretty weird.

I will have to re read them then. It’s been a minute, but I remember them reconciling and getting married at some point (albeit off panel)
Willow and Kennedy never married. They broke up after the Twilight arc and never got back together.

Incidentally, Willow had the option of having Tara being her magic instructor (season 8), but refused since it would either be an illusion or Tara would be taken from heaven.

Is this the finale of the comics? Wow, talk about anti-climactic... I can't believe that whedon would put Willow with someone 90 percent of the fandom hates. Oh wait, considering it's whedon, yeah I can believe it...
Yeah, i never did get the reasonthey needed to force someone new for Willow down the audience's throat. One of the few delights in the post series comics was the absence of kennedy. Never knew they got together in the end. That is really stupid.

Never found the fact of Kennedy forcing her way into Willow's bed and her life any kind of story of Willow recovering from her grief. Kennedy was an opportunistic predator. Willow was clearly not ready. Kennedy latched onto the most powerful person who was potentially a partner and wormed her way into the inner circle. She then proceeded to abuse power she really did not have any right to and had not earned.

Well, both Buffy and Tara got headstones. maybe there's a glut of unused headstones in Sunnydale that are on offer for cheap? Nope, it makes no sense! Truthfully, the headstone is not the expensive component... the funeral and the hole in the ground... those are expensive. Did one for a friend and the hole in the ground cost 7 grand. the funeral with the base (the absolute cheapest) metal coffin cost us 7 grand. We never even tried to go for a headstone at the time as we had to rally round (we were his three best friends) and raise money from all the rest of his friends as he did not have any and his family did not have money to pay for it. Had it been just me, I'd have had him cremated (about 2 grand at the time). As a component of funeral and burial expenses, the headstone, unless very elaborate, is not the expensive part. I was quoted amounts under a thousand for basic stones or brass plaques. Big standing stones cost more. This was in 2011 money. California is usually more expensive than the rest of the country.

See, I've made arrangements to donate my body to a medical school. They'll slice and dice, and when they are done they'll toss my body in their incinerator. No muss, no fuss.

Usually they return med school cadaver remains to family for burial or cremation, rather than disposing as medical waste. Did you request incineration?

I did. Makes that part of things much easier on my family. They can have a nice memorial somewhere and my ash will be compost.
