Five radio stations here play Christmas music during the season. Three have already started, so I decided it's time to put my own Christmas songs on my iPod. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!
I've started listening to Christmas music too hehe...

Well the Christmas music went on yesterday and I started on the wrapping and wrote a few cards. It's not all done yet, but I've made a dent in it!

Well my Christmas went swimmingly . I had so much rich food I had to chill out . I've been on soup and bread for a week .

Bought a new freezer , but haven't installed it yet . Not going to spend a great deal now on replacement meats . Plenty in the cupboards . Might do a nut roast instead . I have eaten a lot of nice meat . I may not be ready for another bout by Christmas . :p

Drank most the gold rum during defrostmas ....but I've got a few strong craft beers , a bottle of sherry and a bottle of whisky . Another spirit wouldn't hurt but may hang on for a bit .

Asda's own brand basic marzipan stollen is very disappointing this year . Tastes like a rock cake . Lidl's output is amazing as usual :) .

My mom's Christmas present came in the mail and I was reminded of why Wish isn't the place to get those things; what was supposed to be ceramic, is instead cheap plastic. Awesome :(

Did I pull a Rip Van Winkle and sleep for a month? o_O Cause last I checked it was still November? 🤔
Or maybe Canadian? Cause I know they do krazy stuff sometimes, like celebrate Thanksgiving in October! :D

I can't believe it's December tomorrow, I need to dig out addresses to send cards, and decide on where I'm putting the advent calendars! I might've bought another yesterday, so have a lego one and a funko one.

My new freezer is being very uncooperative . Cannot switch the door over , one bolt is just seized on , and I aint drilling it out . So I'm having to rejig the entire kitchen area to accommodate this piece of crap  . Oh well . At this rate it'll be nut roast , tinned pork and corned beef for Christmas :p . Not that I mind like . If I've got plenty of veg and trimmings , I'll be golden .

Making a turkey lunch tomorrow/next day . Just simple , turkey , mash , mushy peas and cabbage :p . 'Tis the season ;) .

Hope I get a chance this year to have a couple of plate christmas dinners from the local cafes . May not get much opportunity now though .

Personally I never buy any Christmas cards these days as they cost so much, and the more reasonably priced Chrissie cards can only be described as cheap and nasty.

I limit the amount of people I send cards to, and try to choose ones that they will like, but also buy a 10 pack of cards usually charity ones, that I give to people that I'm not that close to, usually family!

I use my Instagram so much more in December with the advent calendars, not sure why it's become a tradition to post it each day!

Turned on Disney+ for a month as a little holiday treat . Was watching Hawkeye last night . Very Christmasy ; in a Die Hard sort of way ;) . Will try to save the last few episodes of that for the holiday .

My electric costs are crippling this winter so I'm running lean . Netflix goes off 27th December , Disney+ goes off on the 30th . Turned off PSN a few days ago . I'm keeping Amazon Prime , partly for the delivery in case the pandemic kicks off again  . Also, they keep dropping old shows in bulk recently . Must have 55+ seasons on my watchlist ...including Supernatural that just came on the other day :p.

Got plenty of Blu ray and DVDs in case the internet goes off , firewood and a stack of books to read if the power goes out ;) . Should be fine though . Checked the weather forecast and it looks pretty settled for the month . Fingers crossed !

Made an astounding turkey dinner yesterday ...another helping for dinner today :) .

They have a puppy and kitten on, and they were on offer as I bought them early in the year!

I need some more wrapping paper, I would have been fine, except I'm doing a pass the parcel game next weekend and used it all on that.

Brought the presents for my nieces over to my mom's today, easier to wrap in a big house than my tiny apartment with no tablespace. Next week sometime I'll get paper and cards and then get them wrapped. Finally got a wish list from my sister and brother-in-law, once that's bought I'm done :)

This month is going far too quickly! 😢
Me and Mehansa are really busy trying to sell out new book - Olive Tree Hill: The Adventure of Faith and Periwinkle on Amazon- Mehansa let me name the main character
clearly 😌 we're just so busy with uni. I haven't had much time to do Christmas shopping, I haven't even bought my advent calendar yet.

I started Christmas shopping yesterday. At my latitude (about a mile north of 43.6 degrees north), the earliest sunset is on December 8 or 9 and the latest sunrise is on January 3 The shortest day is still December 21 and the solstice occurs at 10:59 AM EST that day. The elliptical orbit of the earth is what splits the earliest sunset and latest sunrise onto different days.

It's too depressing to start shopping while the sunset is getting earlier every day and too nerve-wracking to start at the solstice so I am in the sweet spot where I can go out and splurge while there is still some selection.
