-Cordy talking about child-proofing the hotel, Lorne wanting to hold the baby, Angel being a baby-hog...loving the new parent moments!!
-"Could we keep the s-e-x talk away from the bay?" Hahahaha.
-Baby won't take a bottle...he isn't going to drink blood is he? Because that would be disturbing.
-Angel's discussion with the baby is similar to ones I have with mine.
-Angel speaking baby-talk with a vamp face is pretty disturbing.
-"I'm files and records. It's my job."
-I get Merrick vibes off of Holtz.
-I have to wonder what Buffy would think of Angel being a dad.
-ACK!! Baby not in a car seat! One-handed driving! High-speed chase! DANGER!!!
-Bomb. Excellent.
-"I've got my eyes on Notre Dame." Woohoo!
-90th percentile. Connor is a biiiig boy!!
-Love that end scene. So cute!

LOL, you know you're a mom when you think about all that stuff! I'm sitting here watching a show about a vampire with a soul who now has a baby (born of a vampire that was brought back to life than re-sired), and I'm thinking, "Do they have formula? Maybe they can get some donated breastmilk. Maybe Cordy can induce lactation. Where's the carseat?!?!?! Does that crib meet current safety standards? It'd sure be easier fighting evil demons if you carried the baby in a sling!" :D

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!! And I felt so bad when Angel couldn't get him to stop crying. I wanted to run in there and be like, "Let me help!! My baby cries all the time, too!" Hahaha.

I was really starting to not like this episode but after the twist was revealed I didnt mind it so much. What I didnt like was how clingy Angel was to Connor and that he wouldnt let anyone else hold him. I did like that Connor only stopped crying when he saw Angel's vamp face and I would totally want to have Wes' flame thrower if we were about to be attacked by an army of demons.

When Justine was fighting in that cemetery I got a very Faith/Buffy vibe from her. It was very slayer-esque without the super strength.

I thought this episode was really lame tbh. The story felt very forced and overdone, and Angel playing with Connor was just embarrassing to watch.

My least favourite episode of Angel.

Umm, that was Flo from the progressive insurance commercials as the files and records woman. I checked the guest cast list. In case anyone was wondering or cared. A little trivia I suppose.

The surprise twist at the end (Connor was with the gang the whole time and not with Angel; them being aware their offices were bugged) took me by complete surprise.

Rewatched this episode recently, reminded me that Connor used to be a cute, tolerable baby.

I liked seeing Angel in the role of a parent, nice change from Angel's typical role.

Sorry, my bastard :D

Lorne

Cordy, Lorne, let Angel bond with his son a bit before you hover over them...

Socially awkward Angel could use some help with the new baby...

Wes, diapers come with all of these improvements all the time

Angel, I don't think the baby wants a ba ba right now...

Angel likes baby formula

Angel, he's not sick, but he should get his checkups and such.

I'm surprised W&H didn't know about Holtz before...

I wish W&H would take the cameras out of Angel's place.

Angel the socially awkward dad :D

The vampire face calmed him down

Unlife history ??? o_O

She's probably a vampire...

Angel, give the baby to Cordy for a bit, you need sleep.

Making broth from bones of human children ??? that sounds wrong on so many levels...

Lilah, don't exhaust yourself...

She's a machine

Is it me or the baby's getting smaller rather than bigger ??? o_O

Cordy, but DVD's and computers and such are important :(

Angel, holding a baby while driving is not a good idea...

It's a decoy

The whole spying thing is getting tiring...

The vampire alarms still work ???

90's percentile ??? that's a big baby

Big happy family ??? too good to be true...

Next time: Happy Birthday Cordy

Oh god you brought this one up. :p Dad and Provider are easily my least favourite Angel episodes, and funnily enough the only episodes written by David H. Goodman. What a mark he left.

This episode becomes slightly more tolerable on rewatch because we know the "Gee, I'm a dad!" phase does come to an end and fortunately it seems sooner on rewatch. This is one of the worst episodes of the series.

I liked bits of this episode but as a whole it just didn't quite gel for me. The strongest part was the half. I thought how Angel and gang played Wolfram & Hart and the Demons was really clever.

Plus I loved the bit with Lilah down in the records department. The line "does China Palace deliver down here?":p The woman in record was a great cameo, shame she didn't return.

That was Stephanie Courtney, best known for starring in Progressive Insurance ads, so her face has been seen more often than most A-list stars.

Very good episode. I had actually forgotten the twist near the end so it took me by surprise. I didn’t care much for Angel baby talking with Connor, but it was funny seeing Angel use his vampire face to calm Connor down. Loved it when Lilah quoted from MacBeth.

She quoted Dante's Inferno to Wesley too. Guess the evil gal likes the classics!

Angel as befuddled, yet protective, dad was charming, but the baby-talking went on a bit too long. When would he have ever changed any kind of diaper, pins or no? Fortunately, he lightens up at the end. Someone who buys a teddy, but not a carseat or stroller, needs a little help from others. And stop holding the baby like a football!

I wondered if the baby was fussing because blood causes withdrawal like heroin. But I guess it just needed Angel's vamp face.

Lilah wants to know how Ms. "Files and Records" knows about Angel's baby. Well, how do all these kidnappers and baby-eaters know about it? Was there a birth announcement in the Demon Times?

The final shot was good, the whole crew slo-mo walking, but now with baby. A somewhat weaker episode, I thought, but they have to show some adjustment to the new member of AI.

I recognized her immediately! This comment was written in 2014, so she's had that job a long time.
