Little Albatross
I dunno if it’s the stress of having a new job (that I love, but I’m constantly afraid I’ll fail) or family life, but recently I’ve been craving new Firefly stories to consume at a rapid pace.
I’ve read several of the books, and a good amount of the comics, but I generally leave disappointed at how they handle River. She’s my favorite, and I’d love a story where she can really shine, instead of sit on a shelf the whole plot, because the author doesn’t know what to do with her.
So, I figured I would see what actual fans have contributed.
Only one problem, I have no idea where to start.
Anyone have any recommendations? Again, I’d love for River to play a big part, if not be the main focus. Also, I’m not into the weird steamy shipping fan-fics. Especially not with River and Jayne! (I also came across one—I only skimmed, thankfully didn’t read—which ships her and Mal, which is just bonkers, but okay). That seems to be most of what’s out there.
