My day has just begun and its feeling weird to have to put socks and a jumper on to go outside! Summer must be done :D I didnt get to the beach at all this year which is terrible! Must move closer one day... I love swimming but just don't have the chance as much anymore. *Dreams about putting a lap pool behind the shed again*
Antipodean?

Winter is in full force here, which is great the Atlantic is throwing out constant 6-12ft swells over the UK right now...just no Board Shorts

My last flat was awesome, literally over the road from the beach so could swim every day before work...commute was a bugger so now, it's over half an hour drive to the nearest beach and nearly an hour to the best breaks which is a huge sacrifice but meh... work is work

Yeah, Aussie :) its just over 100kms to my nearest beach now :( I dont surf but grew up doing nippers and the beach was just a big part of the lifestyle. I definitely miss the beach more than I anticipated.

There is a surf school (long board) in one of the towns along the coast and I've always wanted to give it a go. We did a lot of body boarding there as a teen but I've never had the chance to try and stand up! Have you seen the movie Breathe? Thats the town I am talking about.

Are wetsuits rated? Like sleeping bags? Would your 3C wetty be too warm for the southern ocean? Did not need wetsuits for the Indian Ocean haha, just rashies for sun protection!!

Day did not stay as peaceful as the morning was lol. Harmony ate half a sausage she found at the park and got the shits all over the kitchen rug. I was mad until it happened for the second and third time, then I just felt sorry for her. Poor little poo butt. I put the rug through the wash.

We spent a lot of time out in the yard after that, so I am crispy tanned again. Lilah laid in the sunshine on the black sand, so she needs a bath too soon. I accidentally left the back door open and now I can hear something big scurrying around the house. I know we have mice, but this sounds bigger!

Had cuddles with the buns tonight. Xanders tooth is finally loose 😁 I was getting worried as it was growing the wrong direction and tickling his nose. I gave him some pain drugs tonight in the hope he knocks it out. Both buns are starting a moult. Fluff is in the air again!

Is it a kangaroo? They're supposedly bigger than mice.

I think I would have seen it if it was a kangaroo, my house isnt that big! So probably smaller than a kangaroo. Probably smaller than a quokka. Maybe a bandicoot.

Side note, I did see heaps of kangaroos on the weekend. Had to drive slow for 3kms cos the dumbass wouldn't hop off the road over the fence to its baby. Just kept bouncing around in front of the car like it was on a casual weekend hop-a-long.

One side of my family live out in Wanneroo WA...only been once whilst pretty much a kid.

Yeah it's suits all round in most of Europe..6mm Gloves Boots and Hoods in Winter, 4mm in Spring and Autumn, down to 3mm and maybe a shortie in the height of summer...but the waves in summer are few and far between!

I missed my dermatologist appointment. Well, actually I decided not to go. Since my truck is having occasional spells of not accelerating (which is really inconvenient while driving!) I'm not going anywhere over a mile or two from home. So I went to Ralph's and bought more bacon. Driving the truck is like playing Russian Roulette... it's stressful, but I'm not gonna bother my stepdad about it because he's also dealing with A LOT in regards to my mom.

I have bacon. This day has been a complete success. ✨✨✨

Went out to a meeting last night on a whim. I thought it would be a nice bright night, so close to the full moon. And then I got out on the highway and saw the storm clouds rolling in haha.

It was still sunlight on the drive down, an absolutely beautiful drive. Like driving through a painting! Purple grey skies, sheep, golden paddocks, rolling hills and the very still gum trees. So pretty 😍

Meeting ran late so I didnt stay to socialize (I hate that bit anyway), got some petrol in the rain and grabbed a cheeseburger and choc shake for the drive home. Rained until 20kms out of the city and then I was through it. Clear stars and moonlight on the right, lightening storm on the left. The lightening looked gold in comparison to the moonlight. Got a stunning weather show the whole drive home. No roos!

I only started to get worried when I got closer to home, I was glad to turn off the highway as the lightening was a bit too close for comfort! I ran to do the gate cos it was almost overhead haha. Harmony does not like storms so it was a sleepless night with her fussing about it. We are all having a quiet day today.

The neighbours cat moved her 7 kittens into my duck run during that storm. And they havent left. This is the third time that cat has brought her kittens into my yard during a storm. I am glad they are in the empty duck run rather than under my front porch this time. I couldn't step foot outside my door without being hissed at!

I duno what to do about them. They could at least be catching mice for me! The kittens are too young. They are having a great time climbing my trees. The trees I tried to trim for kindling until the mumma cat hissed at me. She not completely feral, shes just free roaming from the maoris place across the highway. I think her name is Ocean.

I am not going to invite the maoris over to get her, they are all methheads and their 11 year old kid is bigger than me (I am not small). Last time I contacted the shire ranger they wanted me to pay for removal... Not gona happen. And the other time I tired to get a rescue to take them and had absolutely no luck in that either. I HATE cats, which probably means one day I will end up with a house full of them, knowing my luck. I really feel sad for this mumma cat. I wish people would appreciate what a gift pets are.

My router is possessed. I've restarted it more than once, but it still won't work. Maybe I should throw holy water at it?
