Oz Cover Art - Angel + Spike #15

Oz for an upcoming cover for Angel + Spike #15, by Gleb Melnikov. It doesn't look much like Oz to me, but I still quite like it. Not sure if Oz will be in Angel & Spike, or just on the cover, but strange we've not seen him in Buffy yet.

So far the covers have had little relevance to anything contained, but I would love to see Oz.

You have to consider. Oz and Willow will never be a couple in this timeline, so reimagining him as an LA resident is not unreasonable, especially since he already has a job and a curse that can become a very dark metaphor, as opposed to... Menstruation?

Oz could appear in LA, but everything about that cover says Sunnydale, with the flag and the car registration plate.

Boom! is trying to avoid paying likeness rights. Which I suppose makes sense, as the kids really don't if Buffy looks like Sarah Gellar did twenty five years ago.
