Happy Birthday to Me (1981) 2/10
Horribly dull slasher with a really dumb twist. The acting is rubbish, the direction really poor. The melodrama is more annoying than entertaining. Not so bad its good, just trash.

Well that was gross. The gore was really fake but some of the images are probably going to stay with me for awhile. The last in Dario Argento's The Three Mothers Trilogy. I've seen Suspiria many times, which is a far superior movie, but I haven't seen Inferno. I might track it down and give it a watch.

A well executed love letter to one of the greatest bad movies of all time. You can tell all the cast & crew were there to pay tribute to the master Tommy Wiseau while still showing the reality of life on set with him.

50 Shades Darker - Woooo! Better than the first one :) it had more going on and was truer to the fanfic it is based on. I was surprised that I liked it, legit put it on for a laugh and instead was all like wooo yeah this more like the original fanfic was (original fanfic? Lol). Its amazing how much tracton this littleTwific got, glad to have been a part of it in its peak. Mills and Boon bdsm on the big screen (but small screen cos my tv is normal size).

Christian Grey did some perfect Edward faces. The chic who plays Ana is TERRIBLE. I am dissapointed she got the role cos she mutilated it. How is she even an actress? I've never liked her in any role shes been in... Sad she spoiled the movies cos they might have been better recieved with a real actor. Like KStew... Who it was meant for! ;) The fanfic described her mannerisms so another lady in the role just ruined it. The pick for Christian was good tho. No way Rpattz would have pulled off that maturity or those muscles. There is a scene of Christian in the gym and I really wish we saw more of him than Ana/Bella's reactions to him.

The gun scene was more thrilling than the entire movie of Bird Box. It was a whole lot of book filled into one movie but I think they learned from the first one not to flesh it out too much again. This is a definite re-watchable for me. Not usual for me to think a romance is sweet, his proposal was swoonworthy.

I'm honestly not sure how to rate documentaries, so I'm just not even gonna try. I saw this one ages ago and for the past three-four years I've been wanting to return to it, but I couldn't find it anywhere. So the website I'm now using, I finally checked last night and, yay, they had it! It was just as powerful as back when it came out, and whatever side you're on, everyone should see this at least once in their life.

Game Night - 7/10
For a comedy this movie made me laugh a lot actually. Rachel McAdams was adorable, I like Jason Bateman and the other actors were great too. It's just a fun sort of dumb comedy. But also not too bland, lots of things I enjoyed about it. It was better than I thought.

How is she even an actress?
Well her parents are actors, so. I've only seen the first Fifty Shades of Grey movie, I didn't think she was bad in it. I've not seen nor read Twilight so I can't discuss the fanfic aspects but I thought for all the talk about sex in the movie. It was not sexy at all. If it just had been steamy and sexy I would have forgiven any bad acting. As it was the first movie was just boring and made me not want to watch the other two.

Agree with you on Game Night. Thought it was one of the better recent comedies. Really like McAdams.

Yeah @Fuffy Baith the first movie was SO boring. I didnt expect to watch more of them either after the borefest of the first but am glad I watched Darker. Mainly for Christians story. The sex scenes were not very steamy again cos the woman does not convey what is going on in her head with her body lamguage at all, shes like a blank slate being directed into position. No passion.

But there were a few cute christian bum shots ;) the tragic edward twifics always sucked me in. I wish the fandom was as active as it was, there were some seriously great stories. Even if you took out the porn parts.

This isnt the only one that got published and I dont think it is the only one that had a movie made out of it either. Its so obviously twific, even the father in 50 shades looks like Carlise, the sister like rose, the photographer is Jacob. They kept Taylors name for the body guard but the rest were switched.

The Favourite - 2/10

It's award season again! Time for everyone to big up dreadful films because... reasons. This film is awful from start to finish. Can only assume people find it hysterical when people in costumes swear. Special shout out to whoever made the sound track, should be taken out and shot or at least told to retire.

Weird and Funny, not a recommend.

Beautiful Boy 5/10

Nothing new to add besides what all critics said, Timothee Chalamet delivers a soild performance, Steve Carell is a little stilted. Feel a lot for this family, heartbreaking stuff, would have benefitted from more background, its very broad outlines I did drugs once and opps now Im a addict, I suppose it happens like that sometimes.

Weird and funny sounds a good thing to me rather than the standard period drama.

Ocean's 8 - 7.5/10
I really enjoyed it and it did what a movie like this is supposed to. Did it have the same amount of charm as the Clooney/Pitt version? No, but it had enough to stand on its own. I had a fun time watching and I'll probably watch it again in a few years. Some parts were predictable, some weren't. The actresses put in the expected performances, it was funny, but not overly hilarious. So, yeah, it was alright. Did we need it, though? No. Enough with the soft reboots, guys!
Also, I guessed that Hathaway's character was in on it, but I did not figure out how. I thought the twist would be that she was in on it from the beginning, but I liked the reality better. I did think it was funny that she came off like such a stereotype of a famous actress, so I enjoyed the twist.

I Am Not a Serial Killer (2016) 8/10
Chilling, and disturbing twist on the serial killer thriller. The black comedy worked really well, and the small town setting and intimate shooting style effective. Max Records (Where the Wild Things) is excellent, and you'll never look at Christopher Lloyd in the same light again!:p It was just the ending I was a bit unsure of.

I also enjoyed this movie. Recently I watched Ocean's 11 and it's still so good. This was maybe better than the other sequels. I thought it had some really funny stuff, but was not subtle like Ocean's 11. I do want a sequel to this movie, though.

Intriguing documentary about Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her work as Supreme Justice and fight for equality for both genders. As well as a insight into her personality and unexpected celebrity.

Rate it however you want, but just be aware that "Bowling For Columbine" is most certainly NOT a documentary in any way, shape, or form. It is Michael Moore's soap box views on gun control consisting of re-edited scenes and downright lies. Whatever your views are on the subject, please, PLEASE, don't base your arguments on this piece of trash.

And don't take my word for it...

Truth about Bowling for Columbine

Despite some of the flaws I still say its a powerful and important film. There's a emotional truth for sure.

Moore is a genuinely terrible maker of documentaries. He doesn't believe in using facts to win an argument.

Boring, run of the mill war movie with cartoonish characters. Adds nothing new or exciting to the genre. The actings not great either.

The Lego Batman Movie - 6.5/10
I finally got around to watching this, which was possibly part of the problem; the hype. I expected something much better than I got, but in the second half, it did get a whole lot funnier than it was in the first half. Definitely worth watching, maybe I'll even see it again someday, but not much more than that, imo.

Pretentious shite! A great cast are completely wasted in this shallow and heavy handed film. The pop culture references are so on the nose (Pulp Fiction, Dylan etc..), and the characters very annoying. Terrible.
