Dru doesn't even look like Dru in the top picture. It looked like Fred in disguise lol.

The issue looks great tho. What shall we expect at the end, possibly an A&F hookup? A Drusilla staking? A trip to meet up with Buffy and the Gang?

Last issue, and we have a big brawl at the square (guess who will win). And probably Drusilla escaping...

I'm of the opinion that seasons should end in a big fight/battle- that's what most Buffy season were about.

And at least Faith is doing something slayer-like- kicking a vampire's teeth in instead of whining about her feelings to her boyfriend for the third issue in a row...

We should hope that Drusilla finally gets staked (she probably won't) and that the Magic statue kills/banishes Archeaus with ease (more likely).

This season of A&F has mostly been about good ideas that had a disappointingly flat execution (is this VG's hallmark as a writer?), mixed quality of dialogue- especially the 'English slang', lots and lots of brawling and the occasional really good issue.
But at least he never made any of the main characters sound like a moron.

The Angel theme has "win small but lose big" elements in it.

S1: Cordy and Wes saved, HQ got exploded, Darla revived.
S2: Made their way back with no one dying, Buffy died.
S3: Holtz died of old age, Wesley and Connor betrayed.
S4: Connor saved, W&H won.
S5: Black Thorn wiped out, LA fell.
After The Fall: time reset, Angel slid to Twilight.
A&F S9: Giles revived, 1/3 of London population erased.

What about Angel winning small but losing big and the Town being occupied by vamps? Can VG do it?

For Angel there is no break, yeah. And if the statue chooses Archaeu's side, maybe it will have some power over the Magic Town's mutants... then, Angel, Faith and co. would be outnumbered... but it all depends on S11 happening, for the story continuing. Or if Angel is the one who kills Dru (*has to* kill her to save someone in immediate danger), it can bring some drama, too.
