The Nevers vs The Irregulars

The Nevers hasn't been released yet but it's already being compared to the newly released Netfix show The Irregulars, here's both trailers, what do you think?

@nightshade - I'm glad to see you're being productive! I intended to crochet a David Bowie and a Pikachu for gifts last Christmas and didn't get any further than a head.

Seems like they have slightly different takes on the supernatural, The Nevers is obviously trying to be more subversive with their genre blending. And with one there's more an emphasis on the lower classes rather than gender politics.

My personal taste runs more towards The Irregulars simply because that feels more Gothic Horror and period-appropriate. but with a twist.


I dunno, neither of these excites me like Penny Dreadful did, that show was awesome.

Yup...it appeals more than The Nevers. In fact, the trailer kinda reminded me of Moore's From Hell.

I don't know I'm kinda fed up of Holmes and Watson stuff now, its just been done to death. Normally period pieces don't appeal, but if The Nevers is going to be more stylish and edgy than the norm I'm up for checking it out.
