If Tara was more like a (pagan) witch than the (Born again) Wiccan would her relationship with Willow have been able to continue?

I don't see why not since it was not the magic part that attracted Willow to Tara .
At least that what I think .

The series never made it clear if there was a difference between reconstructed Wiccan neo-paganism and witchcraft cults and practices surviving from antiquity. Amy, for example, her mom was clearly a Witch practicing black magic, but in latter seasons sung out with Willow and The Blessed wannabes.

You got a good point there . They never told us wat kind of magic Tara & Amy was into . We know that Willow had just learned from the book Giles had in the School Library .
