1.I don't have to hide who I am from my family in fear of being disowned.
2.I don't have to come out of any damn closet to anyone.
3.Everyone considers my sexual orientation a valid one.
4.I can get married practically anywhere.
5.I would have an easier time with the process of adopting a child.
6.People don't compare my sexual orientation to perversions such as pedophillia.
7.Religion doesn't consider my sexual orientation a sin.
8.People won't have morality issues regarding if to attend my wedding or not (which won't be happening anytime soon).
9.My sexual orientation is represented in various mediums of media as the norm.
10.I don't have to tell people about my fictious boyfriend from Canada in order to keep my sexual orientation a secret from homophobic relatives.

I could do top 10 things I hate about being gay To counter Give Us A Kiss's post but instead I'll do My Top 10 things I like about being Gay ...

1. By design, I am unconventional. This makes being gay special, not an abnormality to be ashamed of.
2. I will never accidentally knock up my girlfriend and bring a child into this world that I don't want, can't afford etc...
3. I love being androgynous; having both masculine and feminine qualities, being able to enhance either or & go either way depending on my mood. Mixing masc/femme styles is fun.
4. Being a drag artist; expressing myself through the art and fashion of drag
5. I like that me simply being myself; flamboyant and/or proud of myself irks, annoys or outright offends some people. At the end of the day, your prejudice is disgusting but I laugh because I pity you more than anything.
6. It feels important like we have a cause to fight for in this world. Sexual orientation is not a choice. Sexual behavior is a choice but who we are attracted to and love is not a choice. Gay people are not fully liberated around the world.
7. Gay historical figures like Harvey Milk, William Shakespeare, Leonardo DaVinci, Michelangelo & Alexander the Great ... and well the simple fact that gays existed throughout history.
