I'm assuming that none of these need to be linked to their series or movie (unless I do included it).

1. Buffy Summers

2. Zoe Washburn (but I just have to give an honorary mention to Inara, her ability to bluff and outwit can be incredible at times, and she also has more to lose than the rest)

3. Starbuck (female version, but I only saw the first 2 seasons)

4. Sarah Connor (that includes the first movie where she's still trying to figure out what's going on and is more "typical"--but I pretty much ignore everything after the T2 film)

5. Ripley (same as above)

6. Kim Possible (in cartoon of the same name), so much fun that pokes fun at itself and society at large (I'm wondering how much they had to sneak past the suits to air it). This does not include the live action movie that I considered "meh" at best (though at least they did the villains well, speaking of which, Shego would definitely fit a favorite female villain).

7. Ruby Rose (RWBY), the almost eternal optimist and do-gooder It was her letter that she wrote at the end of Vol 4 that nudged me to return to volunteer work (when I came real close to saying no to those trying to pull me back in), so she definitely made an impact on me.

8. Xena (and Gabrielle)

9. Dana Scully (though sometimes around season 4 I watched less and less and didn't see the last seasons)

10. Battle Angel Alita (I found her an inspiration when I needed to, about how one can rise from their own ashes, and I was also impressed by how many others could find her an inspiration, including an autistic male who identified strongly with her for reasons that made sense to me). I mean to include the manga, the animated movie, and recent live action movie (which I think you had to be a fan to appreciate).

Just off the top of my head. There is NO doubt that I could think of others if I spent some time musing on it, though if I did that I'd have so many that I might not be able to decide who to include.

NOTE: By an act of will, I left out Ahsoka Tano (and also the redeemed villain Ventress, the redemption in the novel), though both Ahsoka and Ventress both had to grow into their roles (I found both annoying when first introduced, though Ahsoka had the excuse of age, but wow did they grow), as well as Mara Jade and Tenel Ka Djo from what is now called "Legends" since Disney messed it up.

I'm also not including heroines that I feel are too obscure (or even too classical), or from anime (save maybe RWBY, may be a grey area there, and she actually affected a real life decision so she gets her props from me), but if I did then the list above would be very different.

What did you think of Netflix Anne With An E, and the 2019 Little Women?
I did not like Anne With An E at all, I felt that it took one of the sweetest and lightest stories of my childhood and turned it into a dreary and angsty mess. As for Little Women 2019, while I thought it was a decent film, it was a terrible adaptation, which kind of completely missed the point of the original novel, so I have issues with it, even though I did enjoy some aspects of the film.

Wow we could not have felt more opposite about those 2 projects. Maybe since I'd never read the books, nor seen any previous adaptations.
I liked the more serious and somber Anne, and really liked the non-linear take on Little Women. In fact, I doubt I'd care for a regular telling of it.

Top 10 Favourite K-pop Music Videos that Occasionally Makes Me Aspire to Be a Music Video Director/Creative Director/Art Director etc.

1. Heart Attack - LOONA/Chuu: Colors and the symmetric composition makes it Accidentally (or is it?🧐) Wes Anderson material.

2. One of These Nights - Red Velvet: One common theory about this music video is that it is a commemoration of Sewol Ferry Tragedy.

3. 4 Walls - f(x): I dig that weird, dreamy Wonderland vibes. I like the shot transitions between group members. Especially the underwater scenes.

4. Russian Roulette - Red Velvet: It is so weird I love it. 😂 (Also colors colors colors..!)
5. Twenty Three - IU: More on-the-nose Wonderland references. Dance sequences disrupt it a little...
6. Fine - Taeyeon: I like the composition of shots, analog-ish effects, etc.
7. Goblin - Sulli: This one gives me Crackerbox Palace (George Harrison) vibes somehow. It must be the big house.🤪 I like the "film" style.
8. Palette - IU: This video is a contemporary, minimalistic beauty.
9. Cheer Up - Twice: I like the adaptation of popular culture references to individual group members. (Also, I love that Sailor Moon-ish scenes hehe.)
10. Touch - Miss A: Projecting other videos onto the video subjects + obvious visual effects is a whole vibe. 😄

HM The 7th Sense - NCT U: I like the lighting and close-up shots, a lot.
