Tis the season and all! If you are interested in taking part just PM your top 20 or 10 Christmas movies in order. Thanks! Remember all sorts Christmas movies (including Christmas horrors) count. As long as there's a clear link to the season through the plot or setting.

Just realize I'm not much for Christmas movies. Still, I used to have a tradition (drove 2 girlfriends of mine nuts) where I'd watch The Nightmare Before Christmas while drinking spiked eggnog and start singing along with the songs as I got buzzed. This would be off and on between about Halloween and New Year.

I'm also very fond of Gremlins.

ETA: wait! Perhaps a bit too sweet and don't-bet-on-it ending and was a bit social justice before that was even a thing, but I really loved Samantha: an American Girl Holiday. I saw that several times, though I haven't seen it in many years. And nice moral dilemmas for hardcore Lawful Goods (in a not so Lawful Good society), if I ever run a D&D game I might challenge a paladin with some of those situations to test his or her alignment (heavily adapted, of course). I should see that again.

Other than that, not so much...I do recall liking Die Hard a lot (I can't remember DH2 or if I've even seen it), and the Home Alone movies had moments I liked (I don't think I've seen a single one of the HA movies all the way through, though). I haven't seen those in many years, though, and remember very little of them (but I did watch Die Hard twice, several years between them, the second time recognizing Alan Rickman which was fascinating to me).

But I can think of some TV eps, from Kim Possible (Dr. Drakken being so sweet before sweetly saying that the truce is over on the new year and he's going to open a whole bag of freak on all of them :D ) to Family Guy (so twisted), and I really intend to get into The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, including the Christmas episode for it which I hear wasn't cheesy at all (at least no more than usual for the show). It should be no surprise that I love Cryptkeeper and Lovecraftian Christmas parody songs as well (something else that could drive my partners nuts).

You give you another week to get the votes in. You can either PM me or just post lists here. If I get enough might do a top 25. If not will stick to 20.

I'm guessing you mean the original Miracle on 34th Street? But just wanted to make sure? Oh and which version of A Christmas Carol?
