Ways in which they could have rescued Connor from Quortoth

So Holtz took Connor to Quortoth, but what ways could they have brought him back?

Vengeance demon wish, Anya talked about different dimensions so maybe a vengeance demon wish could have brought him back.

Dawn tapping into the Key power and creating a portal, I haven't read the comics but doesn't she use that power then? Could have made for a better season 6 plot.

Any other theories?

Angel gets Illyria to go back in time and stop Connor from going to Quortoth in the first place; she SIMPLY bops Holtz on the nose as he's runniNG towards the BIG OL' portal and then delivers the baby to future Angel.
See, why didn't THAT happen in S11?

Also maybe Prof. Sidel (the evil physicist who send Fred to Pylea) has some books on Quortoth or 'portal jumping for Dummies' or something.

If Gunn can sell his soul for a truck then somebody could sell Wesley's soul to get Connor back. 'Sorry man, greater good and all that.'

What about those Odin Taal people from S1 'She'- portal jumping fire-ninja women? (yeah, like we wanna see them again) but if they regularly do this sort of thing they might know of some method.

W&H could probably do it...but then that's what Angel actually tried to forget that.
