Tell Me a Story S1
I watched most of it last year, but never managed to finish it, despite that I really liked it, so now I'm trying again. Just a few episodes away from the stuff I haven't seen before.

No, it's not porn. But it is an anime inspired by western animation (particularly lots of Powerpuff Girls style) and two girls fighting a poop monster in the first episode.

Yeah...

I heard Japan came up with that in part because of how Americans act all scandalized by Japanese anime when we have stuff on South Park and Family Guy with examples I can't share on a family friendly board less crass than P&S. In short, it mocks us.

Finally decided to watch this anime after several recommendations from anime fans. It's supposed to be a pretty important anime that literally revolutionized shoujo anime (anime targeted at young women). Having seen a few episodes so far, it feels like the Japanese Buffy but instead of vampire-slaying, it's magical girls like Sailor Moon. It has so much symbolic feminist allegories tackling misogyny and patriarchy, not to mention lots and lots of lesbian undertones.

I'm working my way through 35 Days. The first season was the best so far. Now I'm on season 4 which takes place in 35 hours with a jury which is interesting.

Last night I watched "Boys in the Band" on Netflix and am currently watching the "making of" feature that was added to Netflix. I really loved this movie!

Love or hate Paul W.S. Anderson, you can't deny he's just a big kid who wants to put cool monsters in movies. In our time of sophisticated storylines, that might be eye-rolling, but there was a time when movies were the likes of The Bride of Frankenstein and Friday the 13th sequels. Not all movies need to be sophisticated (see Pacific Rim).

The world would lose its mind if any government came out and seriously said UFOs were real. I don't think people would be able to handle it.

Now that looks like my kind of movie. Original, innovative, thought-provoking. Gotta love movies like these that push the boundaries of cinema.

There are a number of half-hour videos put out by Paul Hellyer about the four races of aliens, the nature of their visits and other such things. Why is he more important than other theorists? Because he used to be the defense minister for Canada. UFO's are real. I don't think anyone would lose their minds - it would be more, "finally, they came out with the truth" but some religious institutions may have to alter their dogma.

I think they would. Come on. I've lost all faith in humanity being able to handle distressing news this year. I mean there were fist fights over toilet paper because of the flu. What happens when people fear aliens will attack. They aren't gonna think these aliens are like Paul or ET, everyone will turn into doomsday preppers and the media will just hammer stories about how bad an alien invasion would be and yada yada.
