Could be anything from Mora being overloaded with work to Lopez simply being willing to work for lesst afford full time artists . Or maybe Boom is just a small group who can't afford full time employees.
Trading out artists every arc or so is actually common practice in the comic book world nowadays, especially when it comes to highly rendered, time-consuming, in-demand artwork like Dan Mora. Boom probably paid a ridiculous premium price for this guy. I think Mora is just got his own DC book too, if I'm not mistaken, so this wasn't too surprising to me.
That said, while I didn't hate the new artist, it was disappointing for sure. Dan Mora was a special treat.
EDIT: Okay, so apparently I was wrong about Mora working at DC, but he is doing covers there, as well as a new series with popular writer, Kieron Gillen, at Boom.
