Buffy yawned as she walked down the hallway on the way to English. Somehow eight am in Ohio seemed earlier than it did in LA. She looked up to see Danica heading towards her. “You can forget about going to English – they’ve cancelled it due to the extremely dead body they found in the classroom. Cute policemen everywhere.”
Buffy was suddenly wide awake. “What?” “They found him on the teacher’s desk.” “Dead.” |

“Totally. Way dead.” Alex and Ash appeared, looking excited.
“Did you hear about the dead guy?” said Alex, practically bubbling over with the news. Danica looked at them with disdain. “Isn’t there somewhere else you could be right now?” Only Buffy seemed to think it was more than a bit of excitement. “How did it happen?” Danica shrugged. Buffy was getting impatient. “Did the body have any marks?” Danica looked at her as if she’d just sprouted horns. “Ew – morbid much. I didn’t examine it.” Buffy pushed past her and hurried down the hall. She heard Danica’s voice behind her, “What’s her problem?” |
