Hey guys! I'm really interested in getting an RPG started here. My idea is to have a training place for Potentials who turned into Slayers after Willow's spell in Chosen. I'd like to have a few people as teachers (can be former Watchers, Slayers, witches, etc.) The idea is to have this, basically, as a school. There will be lesson planning, field trips, dorms, and so on. I do no want any canon characters, I want them to be your own creation.

Here's a basic character sheet that you guys can use to develop your characters (feel free to expand as much as you'd see fit):

Name: You can put a nickname here too.

Age: How old?

Sex: Male? Female? Unknown?

Occupation: Student? Teacher?

Appearance: What do they look like? You can describe them with words or post a small pic (if you're posting a pic, please refrain from using a Whedonverse actor/actress)

Bio: Describe where they come from, what in their history makes them stand out, memorable things from their past, etc.

If you have anything else to add that makes your character stand out, be sure to let us know that too.

I would definitely be interested 😛 I already have a slayer I made for a previous rp, which would go great with this 😀

ooooh...pick me pick me! I'd like to be one of the potentials turned slayers! So what do we have to do first? Do we post like a back story on our character, description, or something like that?

I'd like to get as many people interested as possible...but you can totally start working on character (s) though! Also, everyone, make sure you read the rules and check over the correct format for IC posting. As soon as we get a few more people, we can get started on posting character profiles and fleshing out a plot. I'm glad we already have you guys interested!

If it's easier for everyone, I'll post a "sheet" you can fill out about your character so you know exactly what to have.

That sheet would be awesome, also can we use celebrities to pretty much say what our Character looks like?

(OOC: Kryptonite, post a sheet if you like (pm it to me and I can add it to your first post) but people should just post their character if they're interested - this is your playing thread so there's no real need for a bunch of "I'm interested" posts. Please make sure you read the rules as Kryptonite says so you know how this works.

🙂)

Bio: Well, I was brought up in England and I have always been into the supernatural! It was at the age of 13 when I met my best friend for life, Jenah. We explored the magicks and the supernatural into as much depth as we could, however; she was a lot more powerful than me. She was also much more of a party-girl than me; she loved boys, partying, drinking. Dont get me wrong, I love all that stuff too. Its just she, well, she was a bit obsessed with it. We started to distance in that area of life. I would stay home and study and she would go out and party. But even with this distance between us we always met up at least twice a week to study further into the magicks.

It all changed when I got my slayer abilities. It was midst of a spell which Jenah and I were doing: we were trying to access a higher plane. We'd been at it for weeks, but were getting nowhere! As I was saying, when I got my slayer powers Jenah and I were in the middle of this spell and well, I got this rush of power, I just assumed it was just me getting through another barrier in my magicks. I had always been the reason we couldn't finish a spell quickly. I never got as powerful as she did; well, as quick as she did, but this was different. I'd finally become equal with her in power, I knew we had the power to access this plane. But then I felt her; I could feel her life and power being drained from her as this spell went on. Now, I realize my life was being pulled away as well, but I couldnt feel it; I just felt her. I shouted at her, asking if we were to stop, but she wasnt answering, and I just kept feeling her life being drained. So I stopped. I withdrew my power. I thought I had stopped the spell... but I hadnt; Jenah kept going. I could see her being overtaken; I could see the fog surrounding her, and thats when I sensed it. I didn't know what it was, I just felt her change. And that's when she looked up at me, her eyes black as a midnight sky. Her fists clenched. I stood there, frightened of what was happening, of what would happen, of what she would do. Then she just... she just fell. Her body went limp, she collapsed.

So yeah, I guess thats my big story, thats my baggage, and no matter what people say, I know that day was my fault. I know that if I'd just been stronger and not pulled away then Jenah would still be here.

Anyway, thats when I became a slayer; and yes, the added strength and agility are great but the reason I agreed to come to this academy was for the knowledge. I know that throughout my stay I will be able to figure out what happened to my best friend. I guess I need closure... thats what everyone's saying. I simply want the knowledge, I need to know what happened that night; why she died from my cowardly and selfish actions.

Bio:
Born and raised in London, England. The bad part of London, naturally. Not the nice part with all the fancy cars and cute little benches surrounded by flowers. Not that world. Full of gangs, mine was. Drugs, abuse, wars. Not something anyone would want to be a part of. Like the naive teenager that I was, still am really, I fell in with that crowd. Granted, it's not the best idea I've come up with.

My mum died when I was six, and my dad... he's been grieving ever since. Poor old man. He sits in front of the television, but doesn't actually watch it. It's merely a mirage for those few surrounding him, a fake world he created that made him look like an unstable drunk instead of a man in pain. He's just scared, really. But he'll never admit it. Too proud. Having no mother figure around affects you, I mean it really does. I've seen people die. I've known of people, friends, to disappear without notice. I'd never see them again.

So, I spent my time learning things from being on the streets instead of reading about them in books. I don't know anything technical. Maths and science are beyond my way of thinking. I realise smoking is bad for you at least, but I do it anyway. Two packs a day, if I'm lucky.

So, one day I'm walking down my street. Too familiar, sick of walking. Suddenly, I get this energy growing inside of me, not just strength, I mean pride, courage, accomplishment. The will to accomplish. I've never known such a feeling, best high I've ever had. I try to tell my friends, of course, but they're too busy with their own messed up lives. It was only after I'd had the energy boost that I realised how messed up we all were. We weren't close, or friendly, we were just lonely.

Then I started to hear about this place, an academy for these girls called Slayers. At first I thought, bloody hell, no way am I getting involved with a place like that. Then I began to realise, maybe it is a good place to go. A learning experience, a curve-ball. Something new, fresh.

That's when the real fun began.

Bio: Born and raised in Boston, I am an avid Red Sox fan and have lots of pride in living there. I had no idea that there was an actual supernatural world. I mean I knew there were demons, but I always just they were personal demons, you know? I had an awesome life, going to a very good private school, had a ton of friends. My world was amazing.
I was called a few weeks after I turned 16, and my whole life changed also. I had no idea what was happening to me. I tried talking to my parents about it, and they tried to help me but they could not. I stopped talking about it, did everything in my power to avoid the supernatural world, but it kept popping up. So finally after many nights of staying out late fighting the forces of evil and coming home broken and sore, they sent me here. I have to say that I did not want to come one bit.

Bio:
I’ve always had a different life, a strange life; but I’ve never felt it…different or special, that is. My mom is a missionary, and I’ve basically lived in every continent, except for Antarctica of course. Before I came to Califorina, we lived in Spain, with no friends, hardly any money, and a negligent dad trying to make amends. I guess that’s just life. I’ve had a lot of experience in some ways, like with languages and adapting to stuff, but I’m seriously socially impaired. Once you get to know me, I’m great, but until then, people just think of me as a stuck-up, sulky biatch. Gosh, I got sooo confused sometimes; I wanted to be a normal girl, go to normal school, have lots of friends, but I also wanted to be different, special. But I guess that already been determined for me, hasn’t it? You can never have it all.
My mom is great, she really is. I mean, her Bible preaching ways can get annoying, to be sure, but she loves me, and wants me to be happy and live life how I want to. I’m happy for that. As for my dad…I really don’t want to get into detail, so I’ll just leave it at “he’s a jerk.”
I just didn’t know who I was. I wanted to believe I was strong, smart, and kind, but I knew that’s wasn’t all true. I just needed to find something that I could hold on to, something that would give me focus on what’s going on with me. And one day, I found it. The thing that I looked for every single day—it’s there now.
It just happened, in an instant. It wasn’t an overwhelming experience like some other girls’, I just felt it. I was dreaming when it happened, dreaming of strange supernatural things like always, when they just changed into a real experience. I knew something was different when I woke up. I knew I was special…finally. I knew who I was. It’s going to take time to fully figure it out, but I got the gist of it. Destined to save the world? Yeah, that sounds about right.

Bio: I was born in America, but raised in England. My story is quite a complex one. My father and uncle competed for the attention of my mother and when my uncle lost, he became bitter and angry, and that anger was directed at my father. He spent years trying to get revenge for what he believed was a betrayal by my father and eventually attempted to shoot him, however he accidentally shot my mother instead. My father knew that someday my uncle would come back, and so spent years teaching me martial arts just in case he attempted to come after me, believing me to be part of the betrayal.

When I was younger, my father was always aware there was something different about me. I was fierce and aged twelve, attacked a burglar in our home. I've always felt powerful and I'm not scared of much.

After my mother was killed I was filled with a violent kind of rage, and tried to start fights wherever I could. I knew I was stronger and faster than most, and when the news about a serial killer broke in my neighbourhood, I went out every night looking for him, vowing not to stop until I'd found him.

I used to go out every night often looking for trouble, just so I could get in a fight and win. It stopped me being angry for a few hours.

Due to all the events of my past, I became emotionally withdrawn and quite anti-social with few friends. I didn't open up to anyone, and often people found me challenging and rude, many still do. I don't like meeting new people very much, as I'm often very socially uncomfortable.

One night I went out, looking for a rapist who had been reported on the local news. I thought I had my man: woman screaming?
Check. Man bent over her, holding her down? Check. It was only when I pulled him off, and gave him a punch to the face that I noticed something different about him, something not human. It was sheer luck that there was a wooden beam sticking out of the building nearby. When I pushed him into it and he turned to dust, I was bewildered, not knowing what I had encountered.
I knew what I had to do though. Find them, and kill them. The only thing that slowed me down was getting a call to come here. Not having spoken to my father in years, and with no real place to call my own, I reluctantly decided to come. A maverick, I did not, and do not want to be here. I don’t like authority or following rules, but if being here means I’ll be able to kill more demons and vampires, then bring it on.

Bio: Being born in Australia isn't nearly as interesting as people think it is. The accent is cute, apparently. Everyone's gorgeous, apparently. In reality it's just like everywhere else and to be honest I always wanted to get out of there. But I always made the best of it, smiling and being the good student and such that everybody wanted. My parents were always there, great parents and I never really had any problems. You know how you always want what you don't have. Well, I always wanted some tragic, interesting story. I used to read them when I was bored or any time of day really. I'm an avid reader, I started writing stories when I was young too. All my friends said I should be a model or something, that's what they wanted to be but it doesn't interest me. What's the point, really?

I don't appreciate being average at everything...except writing and such. I pass or fail but never get really bad or really good marks, it's so boring. The only thing I've had that's slightly out of the ordinary is a boyfriend who turned out to be the worse decision I could have ever made. I suppose that was kind of what I wanted. I always wanted a guy and I wanted the guy I had to be interesting, I wanted to feel something. But in the end he led me down some bad paths, I had no idea he was doing the drug thing, the drug dealing. I knew I wanted something interesting, the feelings but after that I couldn't really go on. He persisted for a little, saying I was getting everything wrong and that he wasn't a bad guy but I managed to get rid of him and I know he moved on.

I was staying at my friends place when I found the power. Play-fighting with your friends little brother is not a good idea when the strength comes. He cried for about an hour after I hurt him, I felt terrible and confused for ages. But I'm lucky, I finally found the part of my life that is exciting and interesting and dangerous. My stories are nothing compared to my life now.

Bio: On a chilly October morning, I was born in Westwood, New Jersey. To say I was raised in wealth would be an understatement. My family founded the town of Westwood. I had my life handed to me on a silver platter. Maids, cars, boys, money…nothing was out of my reach. I had friends, I had a life and I had goals. I was going to Harvard. I was going to become a doctor and travel the world saving people. Then things all changed. One day I met a girl named Faith.

To make a long story short, Faith told me I had become a Slayer. A vampire Slayer. Vampires? Crazy, I know. But they’re real. And I was Chosen to fight them. She trained me and then like that, she was gone. I was then approached to help teach a school. This school would train girls like me, other slayers. I guess I’ll be saving people after all.

________________________________________________________________________________________

IC: I tried to straighten the already straight pencils laying on my desk. I looked over my classroom for the hundreth time. I took a deep breath. First day of school, I thought. Only this time, instead of learning, I’m teaching. It’s a daunting task, having to teach girls only a few years younger than I am. The future of the world depends on it really. But no pressure.

I was given Intro to Magicks as my course. Each of the teachers chosen were examined and blessed by a Shaman. He told me I had a deep history with the elements. Did he elaborate? Of course not. So now I’ve been thrown into teaching a handful of girls something I’ve only begun to learn myself. I know I’m going to have to be open and honest, learning right along with them. Hopefully I don’t screw everything up. Then where will I go? I looked down at my watch. 15 minutes…

As I was finishing getting changed, I looked at the timetable above my bed. Great, my first subject is Intro to Magicks, a subject where I know I am going to know more than the students, and too be honest probably more than the teacher.

I guess I shouldnt act arrogant, it won't do me any favours.

As I walked towards the classroom, I saw girls too my left and right, hurrying to there classrooms. This is going to be a very new experience.

I was first to, what I hoped, was the classroom. Five minutes early. I look inside and see the teacher, do i knock? Do I wait? I guess its time to use my Drama GCSE to my advantage, put on a smile Cassie, and act eager. I knocked, and pushed the door open...

Kindel - Oh, hi girls. Uh, welcome to class. Feel free to...

:: stops talking when the smaller of the two girls sits and begins picking her nails ::

Kindel - uh, to pick your seat. I don't think assigned seats are necessary. What are your names?
