Header Question!

I was just wondering is it possible to turn of the header, what I mean is for some reason I can no longer see the picture that is usually displayed at the top of the page. If it's not a thing you can do on BB, I must have accidentally done it in my browser somehow, (I'm using Firefox if anyone know 🙂)

And I've just noticed that all the mod's av's aren't there either, the same things happened on After-Darkness, is this just me?

Well, I don't know too much about the header thing.... but with the avatars, I do have an answer. Certain browers just don't show the avatars. I've had that problem before too!

In your Firefox browser the checkmark under Tools>Options> content should be in "Load Images". I don't think that's what it is though. I'd click user CP on the board page, then look under "Visible Thread Options". Show Avatars, and Show Images should be checked if you want to see everything.

Thanks guys 🙂 All the right things are checked though, And I just realised that it is not a bored problem I'm having as I switched to my Giles account for the RPG and the header and Mod av's didn't show either, and I have never gone near setting in that account. So it has to be a browser thing 🙁

The images wont even work from IE now either, so it must be a problem with my computer, I've been googling it and came across one guy who had the same problem and he had to do a clean reinstall of windows! Is that were I reinstall windows completely and erase everything on my computer???

That's a weird one, eh? The only thing I can think of is, I wonder if an ad blocker might cause that. Have you installed any kind of a security app lately which might have an ad blocker?

If it was just Firefox, I'd advise to click the exceptions box next to Load Images in options.

I'm having the same problem from what I understand its a security setting but I'm not sure where to go to fix it :s It's this site and some photobucket accounts that give me the problem, if you find out how to fix it could you let me know please I'll do the same if I fix it aswell 🙂 Thanks.

I fixed it!! There's this really good post, Here, that displays a load of pictures and if you can't see each one it tells you how to fix it 🙂

My problem was an Ad Blocker, but not one in Firefox. It was the ad blocker in Norton Internet Security, so I had to turn it off!

I had this problem once before and it was because I had Norton Internet Security, I had to adjust my preferences as it views the headers & avs as advertisements. I just turn off ad blocking but leave pop-up window blocking on & then I could view the boards as normal.

Still have to do that now actually, as I still use Norton. 🙂
