We wanted to do something big for the special Buffy 20th anniversary edition of the podcast, and get everyone involved. With this in mind, we have come up with a theme and we would love it if as many board members as possible could get involved with it.
The theme is "What Buffy means to me"
Some people have been fans of the show for 20 years, others might be more recent, however we are all intrinsically linked by our love for the show and we all have a story for why we love it and what the show means to us individually. 🙂
We'd love to hear your stories about why you love the show, what got you hooked, maybe even how the show influenced your life or helped you out. Why does Buffy the Vampire Slayer still resonate for you twenty years after it premiered? We want you to get involved in this special anniversary edition of the podcast and we want to make it really easy for you to choose your level of involvement.
There are a couple of ways you can get involved with this episode of the podcast. You can PM either myself or Taake with your anecdotes on what Buffy means to you personally and we'll read them out on the show and mention you by name when we do so.
Or if you want to feature on the podcast yourself - you can! 😀 Use your your smartphone to record a short audio clip of yourself reading your thoughts, email it to us and we'll include your recording in the show. Just make sure in the recording (or corresponding email) you say who you are so we know who to attribute the recording to. You can email audio clips to omwpodcast@gmail.com
The closing date for submissions (either audio or written) is March 17th 2017.
The small print: If your thoughts are very very very long, we may have to edit them down, however we will try our best to avoid this if at all possible. Basically, please try to avoid writing or dictating a large essay! We already struggle to keep the podcast length to 90 minutes and Taake and I talk enough as it is 😀
Any questions, feel free to ask 🙂
