Alacasia Alucard de Gothenberg

Alacasia opened her eyes, slowly stretching. She looked to the doors of the wardrobe. Only a few hours earlier they had creaked, groaned, then opened, seemingly allowing something to float around the room.
Alacasia's maid Eliza appeared, going to the window, easing aside the long heavy velvet coverings she looked outside. Alacasia blinked trying to avoid the direct light, while knowing that the sun had already begun to spread its warmth onto the flowers in the garden. Each of them able to portray to the inquisitive onlooker, the beauty that nature had bestowed on them.
Daintily stepping from her bed Alacasia surveyed herself in the mirror, turning around she saw how her lovely wavy black hair caressed her back as it weaved its way to her waist. The mirror reflected her slim, lovely figure. The beauty of her seventeen years, was ready to be shown even though her clothes kept most of it hidden from the eyes of those who wanted to see.
"Are you going to wear this dress today miss?" Alacasia looked at the dress then to her maid and smiled.
"Morning miss. Are you ready miss?" asked Eliza.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Alacasia felt Eliza's warm hands slide on her cheeks, holding her hair from her face.
"The mirror that reflects the light so pure, you are the loveliest it ever saw."
"No! we are the loveliest the mirror ever saw," said Alacasia hugging Eliza.
"And no one has ever seen a prettier face than yours, and never believe anyone that tells you any different miss."
Alacasia thanked her maid. "I will be putting on that dress."
Alacasia had grown up with Eliza, they'd first met thirteen years before at the towns fair, when they were both four years old. They became instant best friends, each loving that the others hair was opposite in colour, Alacasia's being as black as the night and Eliza's as blonde as the ripening wheat that graced the farmers land. That day Alacasia had asked her father, Robert Alucard de Gothenburg, to allow Eliza to play with her at their house. During the following several months the friendship Alacasia and Eliza shared grew. Knowing what would happen he employed Eliza's mother in the kitchens, it would give Alacasia something he never could, some one to grow up with. Eliza would be like a sister.
Going downstairs for her breakfast, about to open the door to the dining room Alacasia saw the letter, it was still there on the shelf. Picking it up she started to read it again. Alacasia could almost hear her fathers voice.
Robert Alucard de Gothenberg,
Taksbul,
Somnilyo,
Transylvania.
Friday the 17th of June 1874
"To my dearest daughter Alacasia Alucard De Gothenberg. My work causes me to leave, to go to deeper into this country. Some elderly men, so driven from the ravages of their passing time, that they have founded a creature who they sat is so tame in nature, so tame of cruelty, and so timid of the passing years that time itself appears to have forgotten it. I wish to gain those secrets for myself, and for you. So that we may live many years more than God intended for us. Know that I will return as soon as I can."
Alacasia had read that letter each morning for the last thirty four times she had come down for her breakfast. Going through the door, sitting at the table, she ate her breakfast in silence. Knowing she was alone in the room she began to wonder how to begin her day, the thought of sitting on the steps where she could survey the wonderful garden appealed to her. At the door Eliza waited for her.
"Which book shall I read to you today miss?"
"Just sit with me, please?" replied Alacasia.
Together they moved towards the main doors, towards the gardens. Opening the doors Alacasia suddenly faltered. "The brightness, it hurts my eyes!" She took three steps back, preferring the cool shade of the hallway.
"Then wait until your eyes become accustomed to the light," suggested Eliza.
Even after standing there for ten minutes the light still hurt Alacasia's eyes.
"I will call for the doctor, until he comes we should wait inside for him. Which room should we wait in?" asked Eliza. Looking to each other it was as if Alacasia could hear Eliza's thoughts. "The music room?"
"My thoughts exactly," announced Eliza.
Curious as to how she knew that, curious as to why the sunlight hurt her, curious as to how she could hear Eliza's blood pumping through her body. Alacasia sat at the Harpsichord, she contented herself playing the 1812 Overture. Surprising herself, it was the first time that the score was not in front of her. After she had finished playing it, looking at her hands she heard the footfalls of a person nearly at the door. Turning, she saw Eliza come into the room.
"Please, be at my side. Will you read the letter to me again?" Leaning against Eliza, Alacasia pointed to where she had read to that morning.
Eliza noted where Alacasia meant. "I may not be back until several weeks have passed from today, I look forward to the time I can hear your voice and see your smile. I expect to hear that you are doing well in your studies and that when I return I hear you playing the harpsichord. As always, your loving father, Robert Alucard De Gothenberg.
"While I am sad at his leaving, I should look at the brighter side of what has happened," said Alacasia.
"Miss?"
"As he had left instructions for you to always be with me." Smiling to Eliza. "Did you enjoy having to ride a horse?"
"Yes miss, even though you had to buy me the right clothes." Laughing, they hugged each other. "Oh dear, you poor thing, tomorrow night there is a dance in town. You do know how to dance don't you?" asked Alacasia.
"I'd better make sure that I know the right dances."
The time passed slowly that day, many memories were relived by Alacasia. In the evening, they practised parading themselves to the handsome young men. Even though, when they had been younger, some of those boys had followed them shouting unpleasant remarks. But as the evenings passed and became years those same boys improved their demeanour and changed into handsome young men who now wanted their attention. The girls decided who they would allow to escort them into the dance the following night.

It was just after two am that Alacasia awoke, all in her room was covered in darkness, but it caused her no hindrance. Feeling hungry she went to get herself something, stopping at Eliza's room. Alacasia went in, she had been watching her sleep for only a minute when Eliza woke. Her heart began to race seeing Alacasia, so near to her, at night, in her bedroom.
"Please Eliza, I cannot contain myself any longer, I want you to allow me to share the

Feeling Alacasia's mouth widen then the sensation suddenly heightened as she felt the fangs go into her neck and the blood flowed into Alacasia's mouth. Noticing the erotic sensations fading she looked up, to Alacasia.
"Now, please, make me like you."
Alacasia smiled, pushing her ?????? up she sliced it with a finger nail, enough for Eliza to drink from her. They lay together until the light began to filter into the room. Alacasia rose from the bed, knowing that Eliza was watching her every move.
"One question about the dance, when will I begin to feel like you?" asked Eliza.
"You will begin to feel the sunlight against your skin as pain, the brightness of the day will cause you to back away from it, into the shade. But last evening, as we sat by the fire I felt as though I wanted to taste you." Alacasia smiled, "so tonight at the dance, choose a young man. As you let him take you outside let me know, so I can hold him down for you, while you enjoy what he has. When you have taken enough of his blood we will need to hide his body."
"Not for long though," replied Eliza, "if we turn him. Then we make him drink enough ale that he falls asleep. Hopefully he will still be sleeping when the sunlight lights up his body."
"And after that?" asked Alacasia, "either we leave the house or we kill my father. He will want to control me and take away all that we could become."
In the following days Eliza helped Alacasia kill her father, they also moved to a distant shore, after giving a few of the local boys something they would not and could not remember.

So they went to live near the sea on the east coast of England, inland a bit, on a hill to the north of the town of Whitby. They wanted to see if the rumours were true, that the streets were covered in gold. Having their dreams realised they walked on the streets of gold, but they were only gold in the early mornings, as the sun weakly shone on the human waste that lay on the ground.
But all that would change, soon. As Alacasia and Eliza began to tell people how they could lead a longer life, not that those people would remember, ever. They had decided to make a home for themselves in a quiet part of the town, after choosing a house where they should live, they set about convincing the people who lived there to give them the house. Eliza had seen the house first, she had said that she thought the people that lived there would taste nice.
"It must be the fresh sea air, also the house reminds me of where you once lived."
"Which of them should we kill first?" asked Alacasia.
"I have thought of that, we should keep the older one alive," said Eliza, she looked to Alacasia, "after we have made them like us. They can be our excuse for being here."
"Or if they introduce us as cousins, from Hungary. We would have a reason for being here, and they will keep the neighbours awkward questions at bay. After that we could let it be known a house swap has been planned."
"No, I still remember my mother, I would not want them near her," said Eliza.
"So, we make sure they never get to my former home, there has to be somewhere here we can dispose of them."
"It would be better if they happened to be in a big accident. Like the ship catching fire," Eliza smiled, "before it leaves England of course. Then, as the only relatives we would get the house, oh, the children?"
"It is a good thing we heal fast," Alacasia looked down at her breasts, "I hope these two puppies don't mind a few more people sucking them. We'd best get busy with them, how old are the sons?"
"Maybe about thirteen, why?" asked Eliza.
"Because it will be so much easier to be able to think of those who once said rude things to us. All those things they said to us, I say we repay these two," said Alacasia. Linking arms they went to find the young boys.
Grinning to each other afterwards they wiped the blood from their mouths on the stained clothing of the boys. "I suppose we'd best do their parents now," remarked Eliza.
Choosing to rest in the room next to them that night, it would save them having to go downstairs for breakfast. Just in case either of them wanted some practise at making vampires.

Early the next morning, long before the sun rose to the horizon, Eliza and Alacasia wandered into the room they had left the parents in. Making sure the curtains were closed.
"What should we say to their servants?" asked Eliza.
"Good question, how can we explain why we are here and they are asleep," Alacasia looked at the pictures in the room, "I know, hide them in the basement, when they are good with what they are they can say they were exploring down there."
"We'd best move them now, although we had better wear other clothes tomorrow, dirty clothes may provoke questions we could find hard to answer."
Carrying them down the stairs Alacasia began laughing. "It could be embarrassing if we can't find how to get to the basement." "And awkward if they don't have a basement."
Keeping the servants entertained with their explanations of why they were there and who they were, Alacasia and Eliza helped the servants overcome their shyness. A few suggestions a breakfast could be made for them all and then Eliza and Alacasia joined them for the meal in the kitchen. It was when the tutor for the two boys arrived that events took a turn for the worst.
It was mid morning when the tutor Virginia Gooding arrived, neither Alacasia nor Eliza wanted her to find the boys, reluctantly they knew she would have to be killed. Talking to her and gradually coaxing her to near the basement door, as soon as the servants left them alone she was dragged into the basement. Standing behind her Alacasia clasped her hand over Virginia's mouth as Eliza quickly sank her teeth into her neck. Feeling the body start to stop trying to break free Alacasia told her friend, stepping back Eliza smiled.
"Now that was fun."
Alacasia grinned. "Well, I'm holding up, she will need to drink from you."
"She wasn't that much fun," said Eliza making a short cut on a breast then forcing Virginia to drink from her, "thinking about it though, three of us could be good."
"And the boys could have their tutor, until we kill them," said Alacasia.

Hearing the phone start to ring, Dawn walked across the room towards it, she listened.
"Who is it?" asked Buffy.
"It's Giles, from England, he wants to speak to you."
Buffy took the receiver as Dawn handed it to her, she listened.
Eventually putting the receiver down, she looked to Dawn.
"So? what did he have to say?"
"He wants me to go there. He has been told that a vampire has been seen near Whitby," said Buffy.
"So? just one vampire?"
"These people, they think many more are there, quite a few people have gone missing, been involved in accidents. Too many to be called a coincidence. From the way he was talking, I think it is serious."
"Ok, so they want you in England, these missing people, how manu are we talking of?" asked Dawn.
"Over the last hundred years or so, several thousand. It was only the other day that a vampire was seen. Giles said the money has been wired to an airline. The ticket are ready for me, guess I'm going to go," said Buffy.

Two evenings later Alacasia, got out of a taxi near the towns park, walking along one of the streets she passed a big tree that had ropes hanging from one of its limbs.
"I wonder is this is where they hung witches?"
Looking around, trying to see a burnt area of ground. She headed towards the park. Looking at the people walking near her. "I could pretend that one is a witch and then burn her."
"Why would you want to do that?" asked Willow.
Seeing a girl sat on a bench seat. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice you."
"That's ok, so why would you want to hurt a witch?" asked Willow.
"I've never really known any to form a real opinion. I wouldn't mind though."
"If you want to, I can teach you a bit. There is a gathering soon, but you might prefer the one after though."
"Why?" asked Alacasia.
"Oh, it's just that with the next one the ten of us will need to be naked," said Willow.
Trying not to smile Alacasia said she wouldn't mind.
"Gotcha," thought Willow.
Over the following days Willow taught Alacasia the basics of the upcoming ritual so that she'd be able to work with them. When the night came for the ritual Willow let it be known that Alacasia didn't seem to feel the cold. After the ceremony Willow quickly put a robe on, Alacasia went to where she had left her clothes but saw they had been moved. She knelt down and started putting them on, standing she saw Buffy in front of her.
"I'd prefer it if you didn't put the top on, the more skin you've got exposed the better," said Buffy.
"What for?" asked Alacasia.
"This." Buffy jumped at her holding a cross against her skin. Alacasia reeled backwards. "What the? who are you?"
"Put it like this, tell us what we want to know and you can walk away from here," said Buffy. "Don't tell us and we will kill you here," said Willow. Alacasia turned away from Willow only to see Giles. "And we will kill you now."
"Don't seem to have much choice do I."
"First things first, my friend Willow tells me your name is Alacasia Alucard de Gothenberg, why did you make up a name like that?" asked Buffy.
"I didn't, I was born with it." She turned to Willow and looked at the cross, facing Giles then to Buffy. Knowing her time was almost up she shrugged. "Oh well."
"What have you got to say for yourself?" asked Giles.
"I was born with this name." "You were? not round here you weren't."
"I didn't say I was from around here, I was born in the township of Taksbul, in Somnilyo. That is a province of Transylvania, back in eighteen fifty seven."
"I don't think that is your real name. I mean really, a name like Alacasia Alucard in Whitby, give me some pretence of intelligence," said Buffy.
"Oh right, I know what you mean. We were friends alright, he was the only human I could stand being near, and for so long. Look it isn't my fault he chose my name," stated Alacasia.
"Did he know you were a vampire?" asked Giles.
"Course not, he'd have run a mile if he'd known."
"But the name?"
"As I said, it isn't my fault, if he wanted to remember me by using my name. Alucard Dracula, like I say, not my fault," said Alacasia.
"We don't believe you are by yourself, who else is there, and where are they?" asked Giles
She thought of her friend Eliza. "No, kill me if you have to, I won't say."
Willow slammed a stake into her heart.
""
"What? that to quick was it?"
"It would have been nice to find out where the others are first," said Buffy.
"Well, she wasn't going to tell us was she?" asked Willow.
"I don't think she needed to," said Giles.
"Why not?"
"Look at her clothes, the way they've been left there. That top has real pearls around the neck. The jeans, we're talking a couple of hundred pounds a pair, those are designer shoes. Then there was the jewellery, diamonds? I'm guessing she stayed in a big house near here, any of the witches still here Willow?" asked Giles.

Seeing a witch Willow went to her, returning a few minutes later, smiling. "North west of the town, it sounds as though it could be the place we are looking for."
