"Hey, black-eyed girl. Watcha doing?"
"Get out of here. Now"
"You're not the only one with powers, you know. You may be a hopped up uberwitch, but I can drywall you into the next century."
In a voice underlaid with menace, Darkwillow snarled: "I'm not joking, Xander. Get out of here, now." She slammed an energy bolt into him, throwing him against the eidolon of Prosperax. In a subterranean cave, Buffy and Dawn fought for their survival, oblivious to what Darkwillow was planning high above them.
The skies darkened as Darkwillow fed energies into the eidolon and lightning crashed into Prosperax's ancient similacra:
"You can't stop this."
"Yeah," gasped Xander,"I get that. Where else am I going to go? You've been my best friend for my whole life. If we're all going to end, where else would I want to be?"
"Is this the master plan? You're going stop me by telling me you love me?" Darkwillow sneered.
"Well, I was going to walk you off the cliff and hand you an anvil, but that seemed a little cartoony." Xander replied, wincing at his pain.
"Still making jokes?"
"I'm not joking. I know you're in pain. I can't imagine the pain you're in, and I know you;re about to do something apocalyptically evil and stupid-"
Darkwillow didn't let him get any further.
"You think what old friendship we had is enough? I'll grant you this. A quick end. For the sake of that friendship." Irredeemable, Darkwillow's magicks seized around Xander's heart and stopped it, killing him before he could get any further. There was a moment of stillness as she rolled Xander's corpse aside, and the energies built and escalated to a crescendo.
And then Prosperax awoke and roared and Darkwillow exulted in that moment. She thought she would reach the point of oblivion and pass into non-existence as eldritch fires radiated outward from the epicentre and the world around her combusted. In the subterranean world, the Summers sisters held one another as the world around them erupted into fire and an instant of agonising pain. Anya held Giles, sobbing as moments later, Sunnydale exploded into flame, falling girders and masonry, and screaming humanity. A minute later and the tragedy was reproduced on untold, unimaginable scales as the San Andreas fault opened and then the Pacific Rim erupted into volcanic and seismic fury and the canker and malignancy consumed more and more of the Earth. Angel, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn didn't experience any pain as Los Angeles was obliterated. Others did, in their billions.
From space, the Earth glowed pomegranate purple and red as it shone with red and yellow traceries while billions screamed and died. And then, in a microsecond, the apocalypse stabbed into the Earth's core itself, and the planet gave one last despairing cry of helplessness and bewilderment as it pulsed blindingly white and disintegrated. In the midst of incandescence and the planet's death agony, Prosperax smiled and nodded:
"Well done, daughter," It said,:"now, go on. There are an infinity of variations of this charnel house still in existence. Feed your fury, feed your anger, feed your pain. Obliterate and feed on them. Do this in synchronicity with me."
And Darkwillow's mind reached out and felt the still living Earths beyond her reach. Or, beyond her reach for now. She summoned her energies and began an odyssey of death, destruction and apocalypse throughout the multiverse. And alas, she is still doing so.
Willow Rosenberg had become death, destroyer of worlds.
