I grew up in the English speaking Caribbean and I think that part of what I enjoy about Buffy is the use of language -- and the sensitivity of the writing of the English vs the US characters.
That said, i was utterly horrified by Kendra, whose faux Jamaican accent was an utter dog's breakfast. Still, for me, Buffy is kind of a universal kind of show and I think there's much to appeal to people from everywhere. Would love to make friends with anyone in or from the English speaking Caribbean in particular. Also, if you're from anywhere in the Commonwealth please give a quick wave!
Thanks.

PS: waves to my Dutch friends - i will tell my Dutch Buffy fans from other Buffy fan sites to come in and post. seems that there's several Dutch threads. sadly I don't actually speak Dutch, so i can't post anything.
