Hot on the heel of Tip #5, we have another Gallery one for you all. Did you know you too can add pictures or videos to the gallery? (Videos need to be on youtube or similar first.)
1. Go to the Media Gallery. (Duh)
2. There is a button at the top right of the breadcrumb that says "Add Media". Click on that.
3. Tick the circle next to "A site category" (that's the only choice), and select from the dropdown the appropriate category.
4. You now have the choice whether to upload from your computer or to add the url of an already-uploaded image/video. Click on the Add Media button to add from your computer, select the images you want to add and click Open (you can select multiple files at once). To add from a url, paste the url of the photo/video into the "Enter a Url" field and click on the plus sign (this is the only way to add a video - you can't upload from your computer). You may add additional files this way.
5. You will see thumbnails of the images on your screen. The image name will auto-fill as the title of the image, but you may change that to something more descriptive if you wish. In the description field, put any info you know about the picture. Including where you got it if you know would be a good thing 🙂 You can also mass set the title and description for all files by clicking on the link that says, "Click Here To Set All Titles & Descriptions". If you change your mind about adding one of the files, you can click on the Delete button to remove it from the queue.
6. When you are finished editing titles and descriptions, click on Save Media.
You are done!
