Well it is not Stranger Things! The first episode of Fringe was reasonable.

Fringe only gets better after season 1 IMO. The flashback episode to Olivia as a kid is one of my faves personally.

Don't think I could say just one. Several episodes of West Wing come to mind. Maybe one or two from Halt and Catch Fire, Newsroom, The Americans & The Queens Gambit too! 🤔

Yeah , West Wing is a good call .
-Blink (Doctor Who) perfect standalone episode, I don't even watch Doctor Who but I love this episode!
-The Gift (BtVS) perfection, should have been the series' finale
-The Constant (LOST) a beautiful, somewhat standalone episode, best that LOST has to offer
-The Other Woman (Mad Men) honestly, I could pick so many episodes from this show, but the way this episode delves into the mechanisms of the office and the way women are treated within it is both fantastically done and heart-breaking to watch
-Swan Song (SPN) similar to BtVS this should have been the series finale, a perfect episode which explores the themes of the show beautifully
-The Gift (BtVS) perfection, should have been the series' finale
-The Constant (LOST) a beautiful, somewhat standalone episode, best that LOST has to offer
-The Other Woman (Mad Men) honestly, I could pick so many episodes from this show, but the way this episode delves into the mechanisms of the office and the way women are treated within it is both fantastically done and heart-breaking to watch
-Swan Song (SPN) similar to BtVS this should have been the series finale, a perfect episode which explores the themes of the show beautifully

That's a hard question to answer.
Very much younger me would've immediately said "Trapped in the Sky", the very first episode of Thunderbirds but very much older me would have a different answer every time I was asked. A few years ago it would've been a Breaking Bad ep; a little before then it would've been something from 24; and a bit before that it would've been "Rose", the first ep in the Doctor Who revival.
All things considered, I'm going to go with Thunderbirds, as it was pure unadulterated joy for a kind of TV I'd only come across in the three or four years before 1965, and it was the epitome of everything I loved at that time in my life (that wasn't a parent, pet or relative 😉). Plus, the Thunderbirds theme is, without a doubt, the BEST. TV. THEME. EVER! I will brook no argument or discussion on this point - it's the hill that I will die on 🤣
Even watching it now brings a nostalgic tear to my cynical old eye. If I'm not mistaken that clip is in fact the one from "Trapped in the Sky"...pure joy!

Wow, this is a tough one to answer. I don't think I can narrow it down to just one episode, I could probably list about a dozen or more.
However, I do remember being absolutely blown away by...Star Trek: TOS' S1.E28 The City On the Edge of Forever, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D's S7.E9 As I Have Always Been, the first time that I saw them both. I thought about the episodes for days after I watched them, and I truly believe they are perfect episodes of TV.

Best episode is tough . Best season is doable .
Maybe the Veronica Mars pilot ? I think most of my suggestions would be first episodes in a season ,a lot of pilots too .
I wouldn't discount Strangers Things as a possible source . Season 3 ep 2 ? They do frame a lovely shot .
