Personally I blame both @nightshade and @Plasma for giving me this idea, there, that is my excuse for this effort.
Wanting to keep Faith under control Buffy went out with her 'on patrol'.
They wandered through the back alleys, I say back alleys but as Sunnydale was such a small backwoods kind of town (glorified village) they wandered in and out of the little rubbish dumps behind the shops. After finding a few vampire the girls enjoyed themselves 'slapping the backs of the hands of the vampires'. That chance to blow of steam together caused them to begin to enjoy each others company.
Had they been a tad younger skipping along the next alley would not have been frowned upon, but they were not just a bit younger so they had to restrict themselves to playing party games (slayer style that is). Pin the tail on the donkey can become a fun past time when you use what could be termed as a 'Mr. Pointy' and the donkey is a vampire, throwing it at said target makes one smile.
All was going well with their merriment until the mayor's assistant got in the way, about to throw another "Mr. Pointy" Faith stepped back as Buffy had hit him with a Mr. Pointy. Faith chastised Buffy for not pulling her Mr. Pointy from him. Buffy looked at what she had done and held a finger tip to her lips, "sshhh, serves him right for being there!" The girls went back to the library.
Seeing them laughing to each other he was a bit perturbed, "What is it?" he asked them. Both Buffy and Faith looked to each other, grinned then shrugged their shoulders.
