CASSIE BEFRIENDS SPIKE.
The New Sunnydale High school lad had just cut Cassie’s throat, dying she fell to the floor. She looked up and saw Spike, she told him she knew she was about to die. Spike covered the knife wound to her throat and told her that there was a humans death and a vampires death, Spike told Cassie to look at him as he was a vampire, he promised to look after her, to keep her as close to a human as he could.
When Spike did go to Buffy’s house the next day he was unsure how his news would be accepted. As usual Xander was against Spike having made Cassie into a vampire. Willow’s view of Spike showed she accepted what Spike had done but she was not overly impressed. Buffy disliked that Spike had made her a vampire, Dawn glared at Spike for his actions.
“That lad had cut Cassie’s throat, I saw in Cassie all the good I had seen in Darla and I wanted to help Cassie. I promised to help her be as good as I could help her be,” said Spike.
Dawn looked to Spike, she saw how the goodness in him was rising to the fore and of his will to help Cassie, to help her when she rose up a vampire. As she heard Spike talk Buffy turned to face Willow, together they agreed that they were grateful.
Before Spike left them that evening, he asked Buffy to let Cassie remain as is for a day or two so that he could convince her to remain good.
When she did wake up and rise up from the ground Cassie was unsure of her surrounding though she did like the flowers around her. Spike held her close in an effort to console her.
“You will not like what you need to do next as you will need to bite into a person’s blood vein to drink some of his or her blood to enable you have all your motor skills to become better than they were.”
Cassie looked to him, she grimaced and shook her head. Spike told her it was a once only duty of all vampires,
“We vampires never get a toothache, headache or a stomach-ache, you’ll never need glasses. And your vision is umpteen times better than any 20 – 20 vision, you will be faster, see in the dark and be stronger though there will be a few downsides to your new abilities.”
Cassie looked concerned,
“Like what?” she asked.
“It’ll depend on your view of what is, you will lose any inhibition you may have had about kissing a boy, or a girl. That boy who kept asking you to go to the prom with him, you can now ask him why he thought you meant you were not going,” said Spike.
“I will teach you how to control your urges not just your bloodlust but those scaredy cat situations – trips to a haunted house will be fun for you and Halloween can be great fun, it’ll be one of those rare occasions you’ll be the life and soul of any party,”
Spike grinned to Cassie. Cassie asked what life and soul meant to a vampire.
“When a demon bites a human the demon devours the soul and it removes the human’s life though you won’t notice losing your soul the only time you will feel a soul is when it is returned, it can be a right sod to get a soul back. It drove me round the twist for a few weeks, a sort of friend of mine, the vampire Angel he had a soul rammed into his body, it has taken him years to come to terms with the shock.”
Spike smiled to Cassie, affectionately but not with any physical affection for her.
“I will help you do hopefully all so you will be okay.”
Cassie grinned then asked Spike why he was going to be so helpful to her.
Spike acknowledged her grin.
“I’m not too sure, it might be partly because of my feelings for Buffy. It might be because I want to be friends with Dawn, and Willow but then again,”
Spike looked deeply into Cassie’s eyes,
“There is something in your eyes that reminds me of Darla, she was a lovely pers .. .. vampire. If you are even half as nice as her you will be fantastic.”
Spike smiled to himself.
“If you meet Giles you could have great fun with him.”
Cassie shrugged her shoulders, Spike smiled to her,
“Ask Buffy to take you to meet him,” said Spike.
When Buffy did meet Cassie she was overjoyed, (Buffy had completely forgotten that Cassie was a freshly turned vampire). During the day Buffy took Cassie to meet Giles. Remembering what Spike had said to her Cassie decided to have some fun.
Buffy was almost affectionate in her introduction of Giles to Cassie. Cassie laid her head against Giles’ chest much to Giles’ embarrassment, then Cassie puckered her lips and gently kissed Giles on the neck – sweetly smiling to him! She went to look at his record collection. As she did Willow walked in, she looked oddly at Cassie.
“What is it Willow?” asked Giles.
Willow looked at Buffy then at Cassie.
“You do know that Cassie is a vampire, don’t you?” asked Willow.
Giles was stunned, he looked at Cassie.
“Just a minute, you laid your head on my chest, oh my!”
Giles placed three fingers on his neck and felt the skin.
“You kissed my neck, I let you kiss my neck, I, I did like your kiss,” admitted Giles.
Cassie revealed her lumpies (on her face) then she allowed Giles to see her fangs.
“Buffy?” exclaimed Giles.
“Is now the right time to disclose that Spike is my mentor?” asked Cassie.
“BUFFY!” Giles exclaimed aloud.
