Tibet, that's so Oz! He has a happy, peaceful life... so of course Buffy and co. have to drop a submarine on it! I don't quite get how "letting the energy pass through you" into the Earth will help the characters lose their magic, when Willow drew from the Earth to acquire a stronger, more positive magic.
It seems strange to me that Oz and Willow are awkward with each other. But I guess this is the first time they've been together since they broke up for good.
The way Twilight and co. keep going on about the "spike" reminds me of how I think of Spike every time we talk of a Covid spike. If only they'd known how much his name would become a common word!
The first page of this section (the original cover?) shows Xander and Dawn sitting on the parked submarine drinking tea. Too bad there was no actual scene corresponding to this in the chapter.
