So After the Fall is officially finished. Nothing sensational happened, but that last page almost made me cry a little though. What did everyone else think of this last issue?

I agree with you. The last panel definitely made me shed a tear and shout, "Doyle!"
But besides that, I was actually quite disappointed in the "The Wolf, Ram, and Hart" finale. For IDW and Dark Horse to have been making the two books sync up before Season 9 begins, I was fully expecting Angel to be trapped in the future after defeating Rowan until the flashback from "The Last Gleaming, Part 1" when Ms. Kitty-Twilight pulls him back into our time to get the whole she-bang a-rollin', and then have Conner, Gunn, and Ms. W figure out a way to beat James/Myr on their own.
Speaking of Mr. W, I really do like her and kinda hope DH/Joss decide to keep her on for S9. Also, hopefully the upcoming yearbook will give us some explanation as to where Angel was when Ms. KT pulled him out of that great big hole in the sky.

So I just read this arc. Anyone who can tell me why Anne talks and acts like she's a regular member of the team, comfortable to talk about killing Connor? The others dont' think it's stranger to take her with either.
Don't get me wrong, I like Anne and would have liked to see her more in the comics, but what happened to Kate? The chick who is a member of the team, who the reader's know for sure is a great fighter and apart of the team? Seems a odd time and a odd way to re-introduce a old character.
The shifts in artists, specially their styles, took away from their story. In particular the artist for issue 40. That looked like fanart. Good fanart, but fanart.
Illyria using swords? Aren't her fists harder than swords? I can't remember how strong she is, that keeps changing.
And how come Angel seems to know, or think he knows, so much about the new world? How it works and such? He just seems to think he knows this future, even though he's just seen parts of it. He also assumes all his friends are dead(did he says friends or everyone he knows?). When did he figure that out? Did someone tell him it was year 2103 or something? (Here's assuming he doesn't count Spike to his friends).
Also, considering the letter between Myr and his sister, shouldn't she speak... differently, than she does in issue 42? Or did she simply adapt? Lots of time(assumingly) passed after all and she's on earth in the future. Maybe she choose to speak differently from the letter.
When Connor, Mr. P, Laura and Anne attacks James, they don't really attack him. They shoot everyone around him. Then they stand around and talk. WTF? Cut the damn head of the snake first.
So, there's some complaints, but it was a decent ending to the series. Now I just have Haunted left to read, and the episode adaptations. Then I've read all IDW series. Makes me feel kind of sad, even though I'm very "meh" for some of the comics. Very much a hit and miss run. But when it was good, it was good.
