Doublepost Merge Disabled

I've disabled the doublepost merge because it was throwing server errors; we have an upgrade coming so I'm going to wait until after that to look at it. So if you are posting twice in a row quickly please use the edit button 🙂

Ahhh, cool. I'd wondered why posts weren't merging for me, I honestly thought I was doing something stupid. I edited them like you said to get rid of the code.
Thanks for letting us know and for making me not feel like I'm not actually going insane! 🙂

@GwenRaiden Well, apparently the merging is limited to a certain amount of time after the first post just as editing and deleting a single post is.

That's actually sensible since merging resets the edit timer...which I'm sorry, but I tend to abuse. >_< I'm wording compulsive so it's quite difficult for me to work with the whole system. I'd discovered the temporary nature of it a while ago when trying to do it with a post that was either a few weeks or a few months old.

Guys, do try to use the Edit button if you're posting one right after another...saves me a lot of merging...thanks 🙂

Sorry, I should have clarified, I always use the edit button. It's only after my 15 minutes are up that I merge but worry not, it's not a frequent thing despite my struggle with the timer. In the past few months, I can only recall one usage (for my post in the 'Was Cordy REALLY turned half Demon' thread).
Once I got used to the system I became more careful before initially submitting a post.
