I don't know if anyone remembers but for a while we had a little drabble game, basically I would give you a character and a word, both randomly, I think the word was whatever the first word was from a page in the Watchers Guide! Anyone that wanted to took part, and you could do as many as you wanted.

Anyway I thought I would do it again, or similar. I'm going to give you 3 pairings to choose from.

First drabble I've ever written . . .

Cordy took the small plastic box from the young man behind the counter. She smiled nervously as she lifted the lid. Inside were one hundred business cards; white with ‘Angel Investigations’ embossed in black across the top. “I drew that,” she grinned, pointing at the angel logo.

She ran her thumb over the name, ‘Cordelia Chase’ and she suddenly realised that Angel’s mission had somehow become her own. She wasn’t sure when it had happened, but she knew it was real.

Beaming, she handed the card to the printer and tried out her just-thought-of slogan, “We help the hopeless!”

This my first Drabble, I’m not quite sure if I’m doing it right, but here goes!

Giles stared blankly into the gleaming walls of the new library. “Here,” began the principle proudly, “is the new and improved library!” Giles ran his finger down the frame of a computer then he looked down the table to find yet another, then another, then another! “What do you think Mr.Giles?” beamed the principle.
“It is certainly different from the old library,” Giles replied, “where are the books?”

Principle Wood looked puzzled, “the students use computers mostly now, Mr.Giles, it is easier to find the answers to tricky questions!” Giles was shocked, a library with no books!
“Oh, jolly good,” mumbled Giles, and with that he walked out saying, “Americans, honestly... a library with no books!”

First Drabble

Cordelia walked in to the Library looking for Buffy . Buffy saw her coming in & smiled softy glad to see her " Hey Cordy ' she said happy looking up from her book . " "Why are you so happy & where Giles & the Scobbies " she said as usual not beating around the bush . " Willow had get something & she dragged Xander with her & Giles had to to meet with the troll " she said referring to Principle Synder .

"And so I have to study all by my self " she said glad of a chance to stop researching . " I make this short Buffy so we get through this before one of them get back " Cordelia said looking at Buffy who had a puzzled look on her face . " You free tonight " she asked Buffy who looked puzzled for a few seconds . " Beside patrolling I free " she said . "Good " Cordy said with a soft smile on her face . "I pick you up at 7 " she said to Buffy who looked lost . "Pick me up ?" she said looking at Cordelia stunned . "Yes I already called your mom & she said we could go on a date as long as you don't stay out to late " she told Buffy who was still stunned & blushing a bit at what Cordelia had said .

" OK Buffy " Cordelia said to Buffy who nodded yes beginning to look happy . "Good & dress casual " she said looking over Buffy body before turning & walking out of the library .

Mission Accomplished .

Pancakes


Now that they had this big kitchen in the hotel Cordelia hoped that Angel might cook them breakfast again. For a vampire he made great eggs, maybe he would branch out into other breakfast foods. Pancakes and bacon for example, with a cup of coffee. That would really make a great treat for the unsociable hours that she kept these days. How was she ever going to get an acting job, or even a date with the visions and night hours she did working for Angel. However she wouldn't change it really, it was part of who she was now, but breakfast would be appreciated.


Ok on my phone at work so it's not the best.

So he helped the chickens cross the road and yes

so that he could make great eggs for breakfast.

WesleyX Father

When he looked in the mirror he saw the thousand yard stare of desperation looking back at him, haunting him. The knowledge of what he was about to do ate away at his soul. The Father would kill the Son - and he was going to stop that from happening, he would circumvent fate. All the myths of old said you couldn't escape destiny, but he was going to try anyway. He was taking Connor away - tonight.

And after that, he would be Connor's father - he would raise him and love him, make up for what he had stolen from him when he took him from Angel. He would be the only father Connor would ever know. And he would be a better father than his own had ever been to him.

He could not know, before it was done, that taking Connor would be what killed him. The prophecy should have said: the surrogate father will kill the son.

Lying in hospital, his throat cut, he realised: you can't fight destiny after all.
