Emotionless

"Cursed Slayer Series" - "Emotionless"

1) Getting to know your slayers

Whoever said they were waiting for "˜a hero to come' should stop and look next door. For a year and a half Buffy Summers Slayer extraordinary has been fighting your battles. Young, sweet, blond 17 year old Buffy is an average American kinda girl; yeah to a completely stupid person. Anybody can plainly see that Miss. Summers isn't normal, in fact there has been many times in her life so far that included blood sweat and tears. So when you ask "˜well she's just a girl why does she have to do this?' the answer would be "˜Someone has to!' It isn't easy; in fact she has recently died sending a new slayer to life, a girl named Kendra. To everyone's surprise she came back to life so there were two slayers alive at a time. How could this be? Well it gets more and weirder after Kendra was killed by Drusilla, Spike's weirdo girlfriend sending yet another slayer Faith in her place, again two slayers at a time. Faith is a tough bad slayer. I guess you could say Buffy is the "˜good' slayer and Faith is the "˜bad' slayer. See when Faith started to lose her way the powers that be decided to do something so they gave two 17 year old girls some very wicked powers. They had made the girls strong enough so when the time came to face Faith if she were evil enough they could take her down no problem; they were the two new slayers which brings us to four slayers at a time. With four slayers two of them stronger then the rest, the balance of everything had begun to change sending more and more demons out into the world, creating chaos. The powers that be wanted the girls to be strong and have the knowledge to defeat anything that came in their way, a problem? They aren't robots, they're girls, humans, and that was a problem. The powers didn't have the same effect that the powers that be wanted it to, sure they were the strongest, and probably the strongest slayers that will ever live, but they wouldn't go and kill a human even if that was the plan. For some time now the two girls Amanda and Diane have been living in Boston slaying any demon that came in their way, and behind all that killing were two beautiful sweet girls.

Amanda Rebecca Rodriguez, a half Spanish girl with chocolate brown wavy hair that just past her shoulders. She had eyes that you could get lost in but even more when you looked into her eyes you could see pain and sadness, her skin was a light tan and she didn't have an accent so you really couldn't tell she was Spanish. Amanda had been living with her mother, brother and father until one day her dad just disappeared, leaving Amanda to step up and work harder to help her mother. Until she discovered her true path as a slayer and left her family. Her mother gave her a heart necklace that once belonged to her grandmother, her grandmother was a strong woman, her mother had given the necklace with hope that it will give her the strength she needs to live. Amanda moved out of her once home to Boston were she found someone very much like her.

Diane Elizabeth Williams, an A+ student and good singer. Diane had straight blond hair that touched her shoulders, her grayish blue eyes showed sadness and pain as well. Diane lived with her mother and father, her being the only child. One day her mother had disappeared and she was horrified at what could have happened, when the day came that she found out she was a slayer she had decided to leave and do some good to the world, even find her mom. Before leaving her dad gave her a ring, it was her mothers. She then left to Boston, a coincidence?

Boston, Girl's apartment 10:34 pm

Diane sat on their couch, her hair up in a bun eating their favorite rocky road ice cream when Amanda came in from her patrol.

"Did something happen?" Diane asked, her mouth half full with ice cream. It usually took longer then this when they went out to patrol the streets of Boston. Amanda's hair looked windswept, her black tank top had the slightest spot of dirt and her black leather pants didn't have a hole which was an improvement. If you didn't know Amanda you would have said she was a robber with all that on.

Amanda closed the door and dropped herself on the couch beside Diane. "It was horrible, nothing was out there, and it was completely vacant." She grabbed a spoon on the coffee table in front of her and scooped some ice cream into her mouth.

Diane raised an eyebrow, "And that's a bad thing?"

"I don't know, it's just that things like this never turn out good." Amanda looked at the computer at the far end corner. "Any luck on our missing parents?"

Diane stopped eating the ice cream and got up heading for the computer. "I looked through police files and hospital files but nothing came up," she paused, "sorry Mandy."

Amanda gave a weak smile, "It was worth a try right?"

Diane smiled back, "Of course". Silence entered the room and not a word was said.

"You know what I think I'll just hit the sheets, it's been a frustrating night." Amanda headed for her room.

"I think that's a good idea I'll just stay up a little bit more, I think I might find something" Diane told her with little confidence in herself.

The door shut behind Amanda as Diane continued to search, "Come on, you have to be alive, where are you guys?"

-------------------------------------------------

Amanda had hit the bed and already begun to sleep.

She found herself in a dark endless river of nothing. The black turned into red, red blood oozing from the wall. Amanda felt nauseated and closed her eyes. She saw a man with glasses, an English man, "A slayer slays..." "And a watcher watches?" There was someone there with him...a girl, blond. They were talking about demons and slayers, things children try not to dream of. Images flashed before her eyes, she saw vampires and a graveyard, the same girl again fighting off a vampire, and she saw another girl with her that had brown hair fighting beside her. More and more images flowed through her mind but one stayed an image of the word "Sunnydale".

----------------------------------------------------------

Diane yawned, her research had brung up nothing and it was getting late. She turned the computer off and headed to the bathroom to brush her teeth when she couldn't open the bathroom door.

"That's weird, Amanda are you in there?" There was no response; Diane was starting to think Amanda was right before. A bang from something falling and hitting the ground came from the other side, "what the?" Diane backed up and did a swinging high kick that hit the door open revealing an empty room and a bottle of tooth paste on the floor. Whoever was in there most have hit it before jumping from the window that was now open. Diane slowly walked in and looked out the window, nothing. The wind blew her hair off her shoulders when she decided the thing had left and closed the window.

A scream came from Amanda's room, Diane turned around quickly to go and help her when she saw the mirror. Pure red blood was smeared onto the mirror which turned into a word, "Sunnydale".

Sunnydale

*Ring* *ring*

Buffy Summer's phone rang but no one was there to answer it. Buffy had gone earlier on patrol and seemed to be having some difficulty getting past some unwanted friends.

---------------------------

The graveyard was covered in a hazy mist that didn't help Buffy see her enemies. Buffy Summers stood in the middle of the graveyard, any little creak made her jump inside. Standing still, taking a deep breath and closing her eyes Buffy imagined a vampire, she saw it's face and imagined fighting it. Opening her eyes again she did a backwards kick that knocked down a vampire that had tried to sneak up behind her.

"Well that was easy enough." Buffy had been trying to sense vampires for a while but she didn't really see what the point was. She could always tell one if she saw one but If she couldn't then what could she have done? The mist was getting way too strong and the temperature way too cold for her. "I gotta find a way out of here!"

Taking a step at a time Buffy slowly made her way towards a tree by feeling her way around the graveyard. With this rate she'll never make it home before morning, and just a few days before school started for a new year too. "I guess I'm going to be here for a while" Buffy continued making her way around careful not to alert anyone or anything that still lurked in the graveyard.

Girl's apartment 11:23pm

Amanda sat shivering on one of their wooden kitchen chairs while Diane got a water bottle from the fridge. The images haunted Amanda, she didn't understand what she saw or why she saw them. The only other time she had a dream/vision was when she was about to have her first battle with a demon and even then it was horrible. Diane stood in the middle of the bathroom doorway stairring at the blood covered mirror. Who whould do something like this? What was their intentions? There were so many questions unanswered that they needed to know.

"Do you think that blood will come off?" Amanda gave a weak laugh.

Diane looked back at her, "Hopefully, I don't want another red mirror not like last time"

Amanda smiled, once before a demon had followed Amanda to their apartment without her knowing, once Amanda was done with it the demon's blood have covered most of the bathroom. "It wasn't really my fault!" Amanda insisted, "I mean it was full of that stuff and..." she paused, "it won't happen again" She promised.

"Why were you fighting in the bathroom anyways?" Diane lifted an eyebrow and walked herself over to the computer.

Amanda got up and stood behind her, "Seemed like the appropriate place at the time." Diane went to google and began typing in the word, 'Sunnydale'. "You're doing a check up on our new word?"

Diane's mouse moved up the page, "Seems like the right thing to do right now. I don't know it's like I know it, I just don't remember it right now."

Chapter 2 - Destiny

Two days later...

"That's weird," Diane moved some of the food out of the grocery bag and looked inside.

Amanda had been sitting in front of the TV packing up her things into a suitcase. "What's weird?" Never turning around to see what Diane was having trouble with Amanda placed the lolly pop that she had found on the table in her mouth. Yum, it was Amanda's favourite.

Diane searched deeper and deeper until she almost made a hole in the bag because she was searching so far. "I could have sworn I placed my snack on the table close to the bag," Diane brushed back a few strands of her soft blond hair and sighed.

Amanda gulped and took the lolly out of her mouth, "I'm sure it'll turn up someplace," She stood up and headed for the bathroom covering the lolly before dropping it in the trash can. When she had returned Diane sat at the table her head in her hands. Amanda slowly walked towards her, instantly feeling a bad vibe coming from Diane. "Dee?" She asked quietly as she sat next to her friend. Diane looked drained out; she hadn't had much sleep since that night. Since the night Amanda had her dream vision and Diane had found the mirror covered in blood. Luckily the blood was off the mirror, it was like nothing happened but for the girls it seemed like they were living the day over and over again in their dreams, if they ever got to sleep at all.

Diane slowly brung her head up and looked at Amanda. "I'll get you some water," Amanda stood but before she reached the cabinet that held their entire cutlery Diane spoke.

"We have to go," Diane staid sternly.

Amanda grabbed a glass cup out of the cabinet and filled it with water, "I know," she handed it back to Diane and sat back down.

"Our...our...our parents might still be alive," Diane's eyes grew watery, "It's the only way we can find and save them."

"Save them?" Amanda's expression gave it away. Diane had a vision the night after they had an unwanted visitor. In the vision she had seen Amanda's dad and Diane's mom, not at the same time and place but they both looked frightened and lonely. Then it went all blank and Diane couldn't tell what was happening next.

"We wanted answers, and we got them"

"Sunnydale?"

"Sunnydale"

Buffy's House

"I can't believe schools tomorrow!" Willow, Xander and Oz had come over. "I mean it's a whole new year and new things to learn and what if I get lost!?"
Willow had been panicking about school like she had for the last few days; even though she was the smartest she still had that worry in her.

"Come on Will, everyone knows you're the smartest, you dedicate your life to school." Xander Harris Willow and Buffy's best buddy sat next to window on Buffy's front porch. Xander snatched a chip out of Oz's hand and plopped it in his mouth.

"Is that a good thing?" Willow felt a little offended by Xander's statement but she knew he meant well.

"I wonder who's going to be the new principle; hopefully this one doesn't get eaten." Buffy looked at Xander.

"Hey! That wasn't me! Those other guys eat the principle, I..." Xander stopped.

"Just look at it this way, it's our last year of high school." Oz added, "Let's just stay away from the acting like animals and we'll be fine." Everyone smiled, but Xander looked even more annoyed.

"That was a long time ago and plus I think I know by now what people to hang around with!" Xander stated defending himself.

"Yea, like that insect lady you had a crush on" Buffy smiled.

"Okay, that doesn't count."

Willow gave a small shriek, "Sorry guys but I got to go; mom's making her famous spaghetti."

"Hmm...Spaghetti" Oz said in that low voice only he could pull off.

"I'll see you tomorrow then, let's all meet at the front of the school doors" Buffy told everyone as they walked off the porch and onto the sidewalk. The sun brightened and for the first time in a while Buffy felt at peace.

Part 2

The big grey bus drove for nearly two hours and still no sign of their "Sunnydale". Amanda and Diane had finished packing up their things before hopping onto the bus that took them half way there; then they had to take another bus to go the other half, sure the girls could have drove there themselves if they had enough money to buy a car.

The night was cool and dark, Amanda wondered how the drivers could stand to drive at this time. She had the window down just an inch from the top and decided to close it. Amanda's brown hair was pulled into a pony tail when she first hopped onto the bus because of the harsh wind that vigorously tossed her hair in more than one direction. Amanda wore her favourite black simple plan hoody with tight blue jeans, eyeliner traced her eyes and her light pink blush gave a warm look. Amanda hated too much make up but couldn't stand to have no make up at all either. She starred through the window and placed her head against the trim of the buses window. Her eyes grew with sleep; they felt like a huge hand was pressed down onto the eye. The bag of her belongings, the bag that held her life slipped from her hands as she slowly drifted off to a place of true happiness. She didn't think whether or not she'd relive that horrible night, she went to sleep knowing that her dad was out there, that someone out there loved her.

Some minutes later...

"Amanda..." A distant voice called her name but the girl could not see anything but a bright white light. She felt a tight grip on her small shoulders; someone had begun to shake her.

"What?" Amanda yawned and rubbed her eyes. Diane sat beside her and had been the one who woke her.

"Nice to see you got some sleep," Diane grabbed the bag that Amanda had dropped before heading to sleep and held it in one hand before Amanda took it from her. "This is our stop."

Amanda looked out the window; it was even darker than it was before she fell asleep. Sunnydale looked simple, Amanda liked simple. A shiver ran down her spin, a cold long lasting shiver that took a while to leave her body.

"You okay?" Diane had been watching her.

"Yea," Amanda lied, "Let's get out of here I wanna sleep some more."

Diane laughed and stood getting off the bus before Amanda did. Before Amanda turned to go down the steps she looked at the driver and thanked him. The driver gave her a warm smile and told her he'd see her soon. Amanda walked out of the bus not wanting to think what the driver meant by what he said. Why would he need to see her again? Amanda stood next to Diane as the door of the bus drew shut and began to drive off into the night.

"What did you dream of anyway?" The girls started to walk around; heading for the closest hotel, anywhere that had something they could rest on. Diane was pretty surprised Amanda hadn't woken up screaming from her dream.

Amanda had a sweet smile on her face; her eyes seemed to be reliving her dream as she looked up at the night sky, the moon shone down on her. "A boy," She smiled more, "He was really cute, and we were dancing."

Diane snorted, "Dancing, you? That has to be a dream"

Amanda looked at Diane and punched her on the arm, "Ow man I was joking!" Diane said holding her arm. When you're a slayer the whole super power thing helps.

A bell came from a church tower not too far from where they were. "I'm going to go see if there are any rooms left, you stay here and enjoy Sunnydale" Diane left Amanda alone in a dark night, that was smart. The smell of gas came from a gas station nearby the hotel. Amanda could see a few men leaning against a wall to her left and one was calling at her. Great, what does he want? The guys came closer and Amanda started to feel uneasy.

"All we wanna do is talk," One of the guys said as the rest laughed.

"Come on hunny give a man a try."

The fattest one stood in her face and Amanda smiled, "I would if you were a real man." Amanda punched the vampire in the stomach and did a twirling backwards kick that sent him to the ground with just enough time to stake him. The other vampires grew angry and began growling, showing their true form. Their eyes glowed in the dark making Amanda's knees weak. From behind a vampire grabbed Amanda and began choking her. Struggling to get free Amanda felt a sudden relief around the neck and instantly fell into a man's arms. His arms held her there for a minute.

"Are you okay?" He spoke; his voice was all she could think about until the other vampire came towards them. The man who held her stood her straight and went towards the vampire. Both fought, the mystery man fought well, it looked like he had some practice and some many days at the gym. He had the darkest brown eyes she'd ever seen, and his dark plum shirt matched perfectly with his long black coat and leather pants. What she like the most about him wasn't his hair or clothes but his heart, she thought she was going to die right there and then, being out numbered and sleepy until this guy came and rescued her. Thuds and bangs came from the battle until one stood and the other dust. Amanda stood there her arms wrapped around herself as she watched the man stand there looking at her. She walked toward him then stopped, warm tears flowed out from her eyes, and her tears were probably the only thing warm at the time.

"You...you saved me." She paused, the man's eyes showed worry. "Who are you?" The wind blew against her body and she began to freeze; only she didn't feel a thing because she was focused on him. Tears from her eyes fell down onto her cheeks. A loud car honked and two bright streams of light came towards Amanda's way as a truck passed by her. When the truck left so had the man.

"Amanda!" Diane came running towards her, her footsteps pounding on the floor.

Amanda stood shocked and confused, she let go of herself and looked at Diane. "Did you see him?" Diane didn't know what Amanda was talking about. "It was him, from my dream."

Okay... so the PTB made Amanda and Diane because Faith was going evil? And they are stronger than Buffy and Faith?

Oh, it's Riley isn't it? The guy, wait... no, he wears the Amry crap when patrolling. It's Angel! They're still in High School yeah? because they talking about the eaten principal and Oz is still around.
