I haven't been writing a whole lot lately, so I thought I'd give the old noodle a brief jog around the block. This takes place post-Chosen. Contains possible spoilers for Buffy season 7 and Angel seasons 4 and 5.

Memo
Date: May 21, 2003
From: Department of Homeland Security
To: Special Agent Riley Finn
Status: CLASSIFIED
Threat Level: Pomegranate
Re: Special Project codename Hellmouth

Yesterday, March 20, 2003, paranormal activity resulted in the complete implosion of site 1630 and the surrounding area. The news media and local geologists report a 0% survival rate and estimate that either seismic activity or meteoritic collision are to blame; however, the attached conflicting CLASSIFIED intelligence garnered from research related to codename Project Lone Wolf indicates a minimal survival rate and a possible paranormal cause. At 0900 hours, your team will depart to site 309 and initiate the investigation according to procedure 1910 A of Handbook P. Preliminary report is due at headquarters June 1st, 2003 at 0900 hours.

As usual with regard to site 1630-related inquiry, persons of interest include the following: male codename Lone Wolf, female codename Slayer, male codename Watcher, female codename Birch, female codename Vengeance, female codename Sleeper, and male codename Railroad. Additional suspected, yet unconfirmed, persons of interest include male codename Pirate and female codename Doorknob.

This information is CLASSIFIED. Commit to memory and initiate permanent deletion sequence immediately upon receipt.

Lone Wolf: Wait. What? You blew up Sunnydale?

Slayer: Or not blew up. The other one. Inplode? Implode? The plodey one that means there's a crater where my high school used to be"¦ again.

Lone Wolf: I think it's implode.

Slayer: Right. That one. Anyway, I imploded Sunnydale. The Big Good is that the Hellmouth is officially closed for business.

Slayer: (speaking quickly) We're gonna be AWOL for awhile, so if you need to contact us "“

Lone Wolf: Buffy. Wait. Did everyone "“?

[Pause]

Slayer: No.

Lone Wolf: Oh.

[Pause]

Lone Wolf: Who?

Slayer: (strained) Well, you can have Harmony tick some of the potentials off the old Rolodex.

[Pause]

Slayer: And Anya. And "“

Lone Wolf: Faith?

Slayer: No, S "“

Lone Wolf: (sighing) Good.

Slayer: Spike.

Very nicely done. And I *loved* the code names. Haha

Very good.
Liked the idea, unlike some, not huge on the Codenames and not sure I like the 'Harmony/Rolodex' part - when is this set again in Angel terms?

Didn't Harmony only get recruited in the first episode which was 19 days after(or something) Angel took over and also must have been more than a day later than the final battle which would mean that the implosion happening yesterday wouldn't work - and how would Buffy know Harmony worked for him?

Edit:

Also, sorry - I assume 'Pirate' is Xander based on his one eyed ness, but he would already have an established code name IF they were being watched which wouldn't be changed.

I know I'm just being picky, but, well its good just a few issues.

Edit:

Note - 'unlike some' was not meant to suggest anyone disliked it, unlike some was 'unlike some, I wasn't huge on the codenames'.

Good points! You're right about Harmony and Xander. I will have to edit.
Note - 'unlike some' was not meant to suggest anyone disliked it, unlike some was 'unlike some, I wasn't huge on the codenames'.

No worries, BOTD. That's how I read it.

Your advice was sound and your criticisms were valid. Like I said, if/when I get the chance, I'll have to edit those mistakes out. I really appreciate you taking the time to point them out.
