Is Alyson Hannigan friends with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Amber Benson, or Eliza Dushku in real life?

Buffy did not air until after she got the role, therefore it had no impact on her getting the role.
 
The documentary about making the film does seem to suggest that they picked SMG because of Buffy.
