Long Live Buffy- a song

I'm not quite sure where to put this, I spent about an hour debating between here and The Bronze.... if it needs to be moved, please do.

This is my Buffy version of the Taylor Swift song Long Live. I've been itching to share it with people and see what others think because I really like it. I figured why not here?

This is awesome!!! Long Live suits Buffy very well..it gives you that epic feeling like no one else..I love this line:

Cause for a moment some high school kids
And a librarian got to rule the world

...made me smile a lot.

Oh..just a silly thing..did you change the lyrics "all the candle lights shined just for me and you"? ..cause it's "how the kingdom lights"..I was just wondering if you changed it on purpose or not..not that big a deal 🙂

Thank you. I like that line too

And I did change it on purpose. I think of Willow and her magic and all the candles involved in so many spells... also the candles that light Spike's crypt. Candles are used a lot in the Buffyverse so I figured since it fit...

I haven't thought of that...candles...that's brilliant! 😀
 
Hehe. I really like it. I could see it being a song about Buffy if you start thinking about it. Even if you don't change the lyrics a little.

I know! If you read the Long Live thread on TC, my first post says "It reminds me of Buffy."
I kept meaning to click on this and I was like 'Hmmm, Long Live? Taylor Swift? Hmm..' and now that I finally did you really made me smile. I might start to re-work some other songs to fit in with Buffy. 😀 But I love Long Live and it really does fit Buffy.
 
I'm re-visiting this thread now...pretty much just to say that I just sang this version of it uber-loud in my dark, empty house...and it was fun. Trust me, I freakin' belted this out. I love it so much!
 
You ARE that cool! I sing it quite a lot too actually. But seriously, singing it really loudly, alone in my house was awesome. It's so exciting and I was smiling from begining to end. Such an epic song.
 
Sometimes, I pretend I'm Taylor at a concert and she sings this version because she loves Buffy and wants to show appreciation.
