Black Thorn
It was a dark night, with a full moon and Drusilla was listening to the owls speak to each other.
She understood them, and whispered, "Yes, such pretty things to kill tonight." However, she didn't want blood stains on her favourite dress...yet. For tonight, there was a grand tea party planned. Miss Edith had promised jammy dodgers and a newborn baby. Angelus would be there as well. She swayed and clapped her hands in delight. Then she frowned for a moment; Miss Olivia had been very naughty, so she would remain locked in the cellar and miss the festivities.

Drusilla often wondered why the moon wouldn't be her friend. Was it jealous because she spoke to the stars? The owls and Miss Edith were never jealous of that. They were perfect friends..They understood her, more than Spike did, actually. She cuddled a black rose against her face and felt closer to it than anything else in this world, even Miss Edith. "We can play and kill things after tea!" The black rose remained silent. Drusilla tilted her head for a moment, then realised her new friend was probably sleeping. So she continued down the path in anticipation of the tea party. It would be lovely. She was quite sure that the black rose would awaken by the time they arrived. If not, she'd rip it's petals off and put them in her hair.

What a shame, your poem could have been so much better, bright red rose petals in her hair would have been so impressive.
You could take me seriously,
but I wouldn't recommend it,
tee hee

@LemonBanana,
a problem I have, as with many wonderful works of art, (notice that subtle act of appreciation of your writing Anyanka Bunny Slayer?) if the facts are ignored to make them read good. The point being is in the initial statement of the dark night with a full moon is not correct. It looks good and is pleasant to read, but it is factually wrong. To know there is a full moon one might assume there is an often or mainly cloud free night sky and that being so the reflection from the sun-lit moon would brighten the earth - hence- it isn't a dark night.
So to say - it was a dark night with a full moon reads good, better than the explanation what I wrote.
