FYI, DST is back in the Buffy business:

These really suck, I don’t get the appeal! Dream scenario would be Buffy and Angel ‘Hot Toys’ but that’s never gonna happen. What would everyone’s must haves be if they did make a really good quality premium format figure?

Yeah, I get what you are saying. They aren't appealing to me either, because of that!

I collect a bit though, and I believe this particular type of fiure is made MADE not to look like the actor. They are made to be reminicent of old 80/90s toys (Thus the old fashioned packaging). You can find a lot of Starwars ones, made to remind adult collectors of the ones around when they were young.
Back then, they didn't worry too much about likeness, I believe because they just didn't have the resources.

I'd agree with yoy though. Collectable or not, I'd rather have one that actually looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar!
