Khal Drogo got put in a comma!? I've never been so frightened of punctuation! 😛

To be fair though, Game of Thrones contains many characters and families, all interwoven and linked in some way. The podcast contains just me & Taake, and occasionally her dog and my cat, so it's not really a fair comparison 😉

Some say we are one and the same person though. 😱

Great podcast, I was dubious about how you could get 75:16 minutes:seconds to talk about characters that only showed up briefly, but it was all interesting. You saved two of the best items of information to near the end:

There are only six of the 144 Buffy episodes where no vampire appears.

Katharine Towne (Sunday) was the daughter of Robert Towne, screenwriter. But to add some information, Robert Towne is no ordinary screenwriter, he is a script doctor extraordinaire. He was called in to fix The Godfther where he wrote the scene just before Don Corleone's death where he passes the torch of Mafia power to his son. He wrote The Last Detail, Chinatown (he had been Jack Nicholson's and producer Roger Corman's roommate) and Shampoo for Warren Beatty. He wrote The Last Woman on Earth then The Tomb of Ligeia for Corman. Warren Beatty called him in to fix Bonnie and Clyde and he did a revisions of Paul Schrader's The Yakuza. Towne's wife Julie is the daughter of actor John Payne, so multigenerational nepotism is alive and well in Hollywood.

Had no idea he 'fixed' The Godfather. Thanks for the additional Towne-based info. And yes, it appears nepotism is alive and well in Hollywood..... ;-)
Ah, but that's the thing - Buffy didn't mope because she had a real connection with Parker (she didn't), she moped because it reminded her of Angel and 'Innocence', and brought up all her deep-seated issues about rejection and inadequacy and loneliness and all that jazz. If I thought that Buffy was moping about Parker because of her so-called "connection" with him, I would have hated that storyline too, but I don't think that's what it was about. It was all about Angel, and about Buffy projecting her various issues onto Parker.

But that's the thing, though - Buffy never really got over her first rejection! She never stopped loving Angel, and she never stopped mourning her relationship with him, as we see in 'I Will Remember You'.

Yeah, I get all that Angel stuff too, it's not exactly subtext, and it worked for Harsh Light of Day. It didn't work for like three more episodes, it just made her look whiny and ridiculous.

Well, it worked for me.
And it's it's not 3 more episodes, it's just 2. But I guess I just have a lot of tolerance and love for Buffy-whining 🙂

Really is it only 2, feels like half a season to me :P

Y'all better stay tuned 😛

Also I would like to point out that Kathy could come back, I mean she doesn't die like that totally lame and forgettable Sandee? Sandy? Sundra? 😛 She just goes to another dimension. Comic fans beware... 😀

@Taake Look dear, I gave you the opportunity to re-record with me, you just made up some excuse about it being your "birthday" and you were "going out". I'm surprised you weren't "washing your hair" that evening too 😛

So yeah, I took advantage of the fact you weren't around to plug the sensible choice 😉😀

Aw I voted for Kathy. She needs a friend. 😛

Honestly, she is very annoying, but purposefully so, and the actress was perfect at being so annoying. She kinda delights me.

Spot on!🙂 She had great comic timing and I enjoy Living Conditions much more than many do.

Never warmed to Sunday.😀

By the way I am getting a new i-pod for Christmas and you just know that the first thing I am doing with it is getting my fix of you lovely ladies and podcast😛

Boo to the Kathy love - I thought we were mates, Mr T? 😀😛

Looki looki at you, trying to guilt people into Sunday love :P
Before I listen , I already know I m firmly in the Sunday camp .

I feel I should declare a romantic interest in Sunday : well not that romantic to be honest 😀 . I do find her character intensely attractive ... I even quite fancy her stunt double who is clearly a man in drag 😀 These are confusing times .

Burning loins aside , I think Taake is backing a loser this month , The Freshman is a total classic episode in my opinion ...I reckon it's one of the greats that is often overlooked in favour of other S4 classics . Living Conditions however , is one of my least favourite in the whole show .

I always thought Sunday deserved a 2 parter ...better yet a mini-arc . Looking forward to hearing this one .

Personally I would have championed Kakistos , the cloven vampire that killed Faiths watcher .He could have been comedy gold 🙂

I actually like the actress who plays Sunday (could be wrong but I think she was in Mulholland Drive?🙂). So I don't think its her, more just that the character I found more annoying than entertaining, and that she the storyline around her was a bit cheap. She didn't feel enough of a threat. Kathy served her purpose more for me.
