Podcast!

I enjoyed that. Good subject too.

Not a big fan of podcasts in general.
Usually I just falls a sleep if I don't do some other activity at the same time but when I do something else I always zone out and realize I haven't heard a word for the past 20 minutes or so...

But you guys managed to have me listening throughout the whole thing. 🙂

Haha! I did! She looks like a wee porcelain dolly. I also remember her not wearing a bra for a good portion of this episode. 😱

Will try and listen to the first episode over the weekend. The only problem is my doctor has warned me about listening to anything which will get my heart racing too much. Surely listening to sexy, exotic tones Swedish tones, and lush and dreamy British vocals will tip more over the edge!!!!!!!!!!😛

New episode of the podcast is coming soon, but please don't forget if you have a topic or theme you would like us to cover in a future ep, post it on the thread and we'll get round to it 🙂 We'll even mention you on the show, give you credit for your excellent idea, and your road to fame and fortune will begin! 😀
 
Idea(s): (forgive me if its already been mentioned)

- Although it would be nice to hear a scene (or group of scenes) by scene analysis of what is happening and your take on it, (if you liked it, if it made you laugh or cry or hated whatever you are watching for whatever reason), i wouldn't expect that. I did it for a few episodes, along with overall thoughts of the episode and it took a few days to do each episode.
- If this out not going to happen, then perhaps an episode by episode review explaining the episode's plot and it's significance to the season's story. What you liked, disliked (why, gotta explain your works kiddies), what particularly interesting or cool or funny or god awful thing you witnessed in the episode.
- Air/record episodes dedicated to certain topics as well, such as a favorite ___ list or most hated ____ list, most significant or relateable scenes, funniest lines or scenes, favorite fight scenes, etc.
- Board Q and A episodes where other Buffy Board members can ask/answer questions in advanced on the board, asking for your/board member opinion(s) of certain topics
- Bring on a guest from the boards once in a while to speak on whatever Buffy related things he or she wishes to speak on.

-MAYBE, maybe, have a few episodes for adults or unfiltered episodes where people may speak their mind on whatever Buffy/Angel related without needing to be censored. Later seasons of Buffy deal with more adult themes, so it could prove difficult to dance around Spike's ra*e attempt and the invisible Buffy blo****, etc.

May i make two requests, on a personal level?
1) Most fans of the show(s) are women, so i would love to hear another male's perspective on Buffy/Angel episodes and topics. In the words of that blue demon who helped Angel get that charity money from WolfRamHeart, 'I Gotta Know'...if i am the only guy who has certain thoughts on certain Buffy things.
2) Your show, you talk about whatever. But please, please speak as a viewer/fan of a television program either instead of or as well as a critic. I can appreciate all the metaphors Joss uses and the technical aspects of creating each episode as much as the next person, but i honestly don't care. When i watched Buffy/Angel for the first time and even second time, i wasn't trying to translate the meaning of each episode, i was just watching as a fan of the show(s) and genre. I 'm more interested in the discussion of plot, character development, fight scene choreography, funny stuff and likes/dislikes of what i just mentioned, rather than 'Yes i see what Joss is going for by using monster X as a metaphor for topic X in society...blah blah blah."
Again, your show. Do whatever tickles your nether regions. Either way i look forward to it.

Just to answer your requests.

1. We are both women, however we're more than open to having guest hosts and absolutely keen to hear male opinions. If you want to appear as a guest host one day, please let me know!
2. We're not professional podcasters or critics. The podcast exists because we're fans, first and foremost. We give our opinions as fans of the show. Hopefully that comes across. 🙂

(The podcast name has already been chosen by the way, but thanks for those too.)
 
I was thinking maybe talk about like your favorite scene or moment from a character or characters. Like favorite Buffy and Giles moment, favorite Willow moment etc. Or a moment where you didn't like one of your favorite characters.

Guest hosts would be fun. I need to get an actual Mic first. Lol.
 
I don't know if either presenter reads the comics, but it would be nice to get a perspective on them too, or even some of the books.

That's a good suggestion. We are hopelessly behind/non-comic readers sadly. But if any one who does read them would like to guest on the podcast I'm sure that could be arranged. Or we could of course do our best to catch up 🙂 I didn't like season 8 but I might enjoy later seasons!
 
I'd love to catch up on the comics, but I think we'd both need to in order to give some valued perspective.... maybe I could do Season 8 and then we could discuss that one if you've already read it, T? 🙂
