Rewatching Buffy anyone else's tastes have changed ?

@hoponlilmama I just thought it was a bit much. First he attacks Angel with a 2by4 and gets his arse kicked.
Then he teams up with a pedophile "you like kids don't you Marcus? Well likes to eat...and other nasty things"
Who is then betrayed by Marcus to the surprise of no one except Spike himself. Angel "you hired a Vampire, what do you think he's going to do ? Hand it over to you ?"
Spike then sets himself on fire !! The man is an idiot

I mostly said that quote because Spike said it himself - also, I was trying to make a joke. 😁
As for teaming up with Marcus - well, evil associates with evil. And, we also know of Spike's history ("wanna know what I've done to girls that were Dawn's age?").

Spike can be very cunning and intelligent - other times, I agree, he's a complete idiot, with hilarious results for the audience to see. 😁

No one was being shamed. As I have said multiple times on multiple threads, the lack of consent is the issue not whatever kink someone is into. And there are certain posters on both sides who turn it into something like a dog with a bone.

On a side note, i'm not sure why i have to be friendlier to a group of people who are not very friendly in return.

I used to be on the Buffy Forums which is very pro Spuffy. My god I remember them gas lighting Michelle Trachtenberg when she came out with her revelations and 1 poster using what they said they did in real life to justify that and saying other nasty stuff about others. I remember getting very heated about it. It can be a very cliquey forum and if they don't like you they can be pretty nasty and ban you for nothing.

I agree no one should attack Spuffies not least because Bangel is equally problematic. You can moan at Joss (Marti normally gets blamed instead) but the fans is harsh. Though Fury did it admittedly and he was a writer.

I don't think anyone is 'attacking' Spuffies - we're on a message board and we're discussing/debating topics. Someone can like Spuffy and explain why, and I can explain why I don't and refute it.

Otherwise, what's the point of the forum?

Buffy Forums is still extremely worshipful of Spike and Spuffy. One risks a lot of public shaming if one goes against the Spike-loving super majority there.

My falling out was sticking up for Michelle Trachtenberg because they were gas lighting her.
Also some of the posters could be very nasty about you but if you gave it back you (not them) got into trouble

You have no idea how much this makes me want to stir the pot over there. 👹 😇 I won't though as I've lost the desire to argue with others over shipping taste.

So far I haven't had any issues there, but to be fair I've posted like maybe 6 or 7 times, and have a non Bangel screen name, so I dont have much to go off of. Spuffy is by far the most popular ship of the Buffyverse everywhere in my experience.

In general, most niche forums are very cliquish, at least the ones I belong to. This one tends to be the most accepting of other opinions as far as niche forums go.

Chronicles Sci-fi and Fantasy Forum is by far my favorite wide range forum. There are a ton of interesting topics and threads there and most people are super chill. I've yet to see anyone rage out over there.
