Suzette De Vilre and Laura Ashley: The Vampire Slayer.

Then the devil came to earth, to help she who is the slayer. Deriluc 16 : 4 : 7

"That sound Father Bryant, what could it be ?" asked Father Lucas.
"I don't know, I really don't know. Get the people in here," said Father Bryant.

Father Lucas quickly went to David, one of the altar boys.

"Get the others, if any-one is outside, invite them in," said Father Lucas, "do it as fast as you can."

On the steps to the church.

"That noise is louder out here, Gareth," said Anthony.
"See if that lady wants to come inside," said David.
"Are you alright, do you want to come inside ?" asked Gareth.
"The noise is from up there," said Suzette.

"Please, do you want to go inside ?" asked Gareth again.
"Thank you, I haven't been inside before," said Suzette.
"So your not a catholic ?" asked Gareth, "what religion are you ?"
"No, all or none, do I have to be a catholic to go inside ?" asked Suzette.

"Not really, but we may try to get you to think like us," said Gareth.
"Well, thank you for inviting me in," said Suzette.

Suzette walked into the church, she noticed the roof as it was so high, the walls made so solid, they made the sound echo, it added to the atmosphere of the place. Then she saw Laura, sitting alone.

"That growling sound, did you hear where it was coming from ?" asked Laura.
"I heard the sound, just as I was coming in here," replied Suzette
"Are you here to see some-one ?" asked Laura.

"A young woman named Laura," said Suzette.
"That's my name, how do you know me ?"
"Because you've just been activated as the vampire slayer," said Suzette.

"Your the second person that's said that to me."
"Who else told you ?" asked Suzette.
"Some bloke at a bookshop, he said to come here and see Father Bryant."

"I've heard about him," said Suzette, "what do you think of this place ?"

Laura looked around.

"Long time since I was last in a church, my family were Quakers."

Near her were twenty rows of pews, both sides of the aisle, several highly polished candle-stick holders, lots of nicely polished wood, several ornate cloths were on the altar. Each one of the huge windows depicted a scene from the bible. There were many large presentations of flowers.

"Hello, is one of you two girls Laura ?" asked Father Bryant.
"She is, Father Bryant," said Suzette.

Father Bryant looked at Suzette, then to Laura.

"How did you know my name ?"
"She knew about me as well Father. But not my name."
"Who are you ?, what is your name ?"

"Suzette De Vilre."
"How did you know that this girl is a vampire slayer ?" asked Father Bryant.
"How did you know Father ?" asked Suzette.

"Allan told me, he said Laura would benefit from me talking to her. For guidance and to help her with her cause," said Father Bryant.
"She'll find her course soon," said Suzette, " all she'll need to do, is prepare herself."

"Glad about that, I was begining to wonder why you had come here. Do you believe in God ?" asked Father Bryant.
"Oh God exists, I know that, wouldn't go so far as to say that I worship him, or her though."

"Hmm yes, I'll suggest a meeting with the both of you, with Allan and myself tomorrow evening, at his bookshop," said Father Bryant.
"I'll see you later then," said Laura.

Father Bryant stopped, looked around, he couldn't remember why he was there. Had he been speaking to some-one ?, was he waiting to speak to some-one ?.

"What did those women have to say ?" asked Father Lucas.
"Who, I'm not sure, is there an entry in the book ?" asked Father Bryant.

Father Lucas held the book for Father Bryant to see who the woman was.

"Suzette De Vilre, hmm, I think I saw her, I can't remember. I did see some-one though, oh well, I'm going a bit earlies tonight, I'm going to see Allan tonight," said Father Bryant, "wait, now I remember, I did see her !"

When Father Bryant eventually got to the bookshop, Allan was waiting for him

"What do you think of the new sign I did, Father ?"
"You did it !, the name of the shop is good, it says what you do here. The colours go well together, the letters are clear and understandable, you've got the right phone number. Yes, as signs go it's good."
"Come on in, there's a couple of people that I'd like you to meet," said Allan.

They walked into the shop.

"Listen to them, still arguing with each other, but they are only doing so in a way that they are both telling each other what is going to happen. From what I've understood they are talking about a returning, they just can't agree on what," said Allan.
"Who are they ?" asked the Father.

"I'm not to sure, they were recommended by a friend of mine in Rome. They are sort of theologians but...., I was told they research the past to try and predict the future, they are Evette and Fiona," said Allan.
"Well if they like problems I've got one for them."

Allan walked up to the table. On the table were cuttings of several newspaper reports about the six people that were caught in a lava flow, but they weren't burnt. The winds that had caused devastation to a community in England, of the six people that had been struck by lightning but they hadn't been hurt. The earthquakes that had levelled two towns and of the six virgin births.

"I'll introduce you to each other soon, but my friend has something to tell you two first," said Allan.

"These two young women came to see me today, one of them was the one you sent to see me Allan. We all chatted for a few minutes, but just after our chat I couldn't recall her being there. Afterwards I looked at the registering book, I made a note of the woman's name. I originally thought about looking through Allan's books, but being as how you are here, I'll let you have a look first."

Fiona stretched across the table and looked at the name, then passed it over towards Evette.

"This is more Evette's thing ," said Fiona.

Evette took the piece of paper and studied it.

"Her name here is Suzette, we can forget about that bit. The rest of it, it could be her !" said Evette.

She picked up a pen, re-wrote the name, turned it around several times, when it was facing away from her.

"The rest of it is her, or it could be read that way. Take the name as it is written, De Vilre. R E as a prefix is a negative force, how-ever when used as a suffix I believe it to be a positive force, so take what is before that, the letters d, e, v, i, l, so read the devil as a positive force," said Evette.

"You don't really think that I was talking with the devil ?" asked Father Bryant.

"Why not ? the devil could be a woman and you wouldn't know it, there's no reason why you would even suspect it, the question we should be asking right now, is, where is she and who is she with ?" asked Evette.

"Your not going to like this, the other girl is Laura, she is the new Vampire Slayer," said Allan.
"I've read about them," said Fiona, "but they are said to be a myth."
"No, they're real, chosen to fight the evil, as it says, to stop the evils flow," said Allan.

"Another thought then, this Laura is a new vampire slayer, the woman with her is the devil, the people caught in the lava flow, those struck by lightning and the virgin births, the name and what Fiona and I have been researching," said Evette.
"Say what you mean," said Father Bryant.

"I'm trying not to, but I can't help it....the lava, the lightning, the births, it points to one thing...6 6 6. The not being hurt, the name being a positive thing. Then the other questions, why wasn't the slayer killed, or you, where is she now ? what if the devil chose not to harm the slayer ?"

In the quiet of the country, on a farm in the middle of no-where, twelve robed figures slowly moved into the big shed. Thirteen black candles on heavy, tall holders had been placed around a make-shift altar. Dark red velvet curtains hid the animals stables, there on the altar covered only with a dark red curtain was a naked young woman, she was to be killed as the offering to the devil. Suzette appeared with Laura.

"Hear me O glorious one, come and see what offering we have for he who is the mighty," said a devil worshipper.
"I'm not a man, at least I don't think I am. And what's with those silly robes, it's not cold yet," said Suzette.

"Be quiet woman, else I will sacrifice you. Do you want to feel the cold of this blade ?"
"What an idiot you are," said Suzette.

The leader of the worshippers lifted the knife, as he was about to plunge the knife downwards, Suzette clicked her fingers and he disappeared. Suzette and Laura moved towards the altar. Suzette looked at the person on the altar.

"Who is she Laura ?" asked Suzette.
"That is me !, but how."

Suzette pointed to one of those who thought she was a worshipper.

"You !, help the sacrifice, give her your robe," said Suzette.
"Who are you ? why should I do as you want, don't you know who I am ? I am a discople of the devil !"

Suzette immediately became a ten foot high green scorpion, her voice boomed out.

"YOU CALLED ME ! You wanted me here, and now you question me ! Do as I say ! Why would I even want you to sacrifice this woman, she has done no wrong, what would she do for me dead, You are the ones that I'd want."

"But, we are your disciples."
"I choose who my disciples are, not you. This offering, this Laura, give her your robe," ordered Suzette.
"But why should I give her my robe ?"

"Let me see, you say that you are my disciple, yet you refuse to do as I ask ?. She needs the robe more than you, oh and the other reason
BECAUSE I SAID SO !!"

The woman's robe appeared on the body of Laura, Suzette's so called worshippers disappeared as Suzette clicked her fingers.

"Thanks for putting that robe on me, er, her, ummm."
"I've never had some-one say thanks and mean it, I like it," said Suzette.
"Please don't get me wrong, I still don't understand, why you help me ?" asked Laura.

"Simple, I am the one that is the evil, I am not the leader of the evil as they thought."
"That I understand, but the reason why there is two of me ?"
"Will be our secret," said Suzette.

"I can feel a witches board being used," said Suzette.
"A what ?, what is a witches board ?" asked Laura.
"It's an Ouija board, think I'll have some fun," said Suzette.

At a university in Perth, six supposedly intelligent people had gathered to have some fun. The ghost of a misguided man who just happened to be passing was about to make them think he was a Mr Wonderful.

"What's the lap-top for Rose ?"
"When Catherine calls out the letters, I'll type them in and then make the words," said Rose.

They sat down and prepared themselves. The ghost began to make the glass move.

"S-H-E-I-S-O-N-T-H-E-E-A-R-T-H-A-G-A-I-N," said Catherine.
"She is on the earth again," said Rose.
"I-C-A-N-F-E-E-L-H-E-R-S-H-E-I-S-N-E-A-R."
"I can feel her she is near," said Rose.

"I-W-I-L-L-G-O-I-N-E-E-D-T-O-G-O."
"I will go I need to go," said Rose.
"S-H-E-I-S-I-N-H-E-R-E."
"She is in here," said Rose.

Suzette entered the room he had just run out.

"She? who is she ?" asked Catherine.

Even though no-one was touching the glass, it moved. It moved up just above the board. Every-one in the room gasped.

"I-A-M-M-E, I am me ?" asked Catherine.
"Can you tell us the future ?" asked Rose.

"Y-E-S-I-C-A-N-B-U-T-I-W-I-L-L-N-O-T."
"Yes I can but I will not," said Rose.

"I-W-A-N-T-Y-O-U-T-O-R-I-N-G."
"I want you to ring," said Rose.

"F-A-T-H-E-R-B-R-Y-A-N-T."
"Father Bryant," said Rose.

Every-one in the room was transfixed, yet still the glass hovered just above the board.

"I-M-E-A-N-T-N-O-W."
"I meant now," said Rose, "who are you, and is there any-one here that you want to speak to Father Bryant, what is the message ?. Can you give us a minute or two to pass the message on ?" said Rose.

"H-E-I-S-A-T-A-L-L-A-N-S-B-O-O-K-S-H-O-P."
"He is at Allans bookshop," said Rose.

"T-E-L-L-H-I-M-E-V-E-T-T-E-I-S-R-I-G-H-T-."
"Tell him Evette is right," said Rose.

"I-A-M-T-H-E-O-N-L-Y-O-N-E."
"I am the only one," said Rose.

Two minutes later the message was passed on.

"Who was it that sent the message Father ?" asked Rose.
"We are having a few discussions about that being," said Father Bryant.
"Er, Father, you said being !, that was a slip of the tongue ?" asked Rose.
"I'm sorry to say this, but no it wasn't a slip, you may have been warned not to use that thing, well you may have contacted the ultimate demon herself," said Father Bryant.

"The ultimate demon ? who is that ?" asked Rose.
"What I said was intended, and I could be wrong, for your sake I hope I am, she is, sorry, but you may have the devil herself."
"Wait there Father !, the glass is moving again."

"Oh for heavens sake, leave the glass alone Rose," exclaimed Father Bryant.
"There is no-one touching the glass, we never were Father, and the glass is floating above the board," said Rose.
"When you said we, how many are there ?"

"T-E-L-L, tell, F-A-T-H-E-R, father, B-R-Y-A-N-T, Bryant, S-I-X, six."
"Ask exactly as I say, ask Suzette to let you touch the glass, ask her to allow the glass back on the board, tell her you are scared."
"Did you hear what the Father just asked me to say Suzette ?" asked Rose.

Catherine and the others in the room stared at Rose.

"Who is Suzette, Rose ?" asked Catherine.
"The Father said that is her name, and you don't want to know any more."

The glass and the board lifted up into the air, then disappeared.

The next day Laura and Suzette went to find Father Bryant, he wasn't at the church and the bookshop was locked. Suzette and Laura sat on the footpath and waited, luckily they didn't have to wait long as Allan soon returned, he had been to get himself something to eat.

"I'm glad your back, I want some-one to talk to, I'm not used to being nice to people," said Suzette.
"Any-one would think that you've been here before ?" asked Allan.
"I have," said Suzette, "but that was a long time ago."

"When was it ?" asked Laura.
"Last time was the great flood," said Suzette.
"Here come the others, wrong type of flood huh," said Allan.

"Fiona, Evette, Father Bryant, Suzette was just about to tell us about the flood," said Laura.
"What flood ?" asked Fiona.
"The one with the Ark," said Suzette.

"You caused the flood Suzette ?" asked Fiona.
"Not really, but I allowed it to happen," said Suzette, "a big meteor dropped a few bits, it was two of the bigger bits, they landed at the south pole."
"And they caused a flood ?" asked Father Bryant.

"Oh no, but they started a chain reaction. You see one of those bits hit near Mount Erebos, that started a massive volcano, that heated the water."
"And melted the ice, that made more water, increased height, more volcano's
then they caused big storms," said Evette.
"So I'm guessing there was a flood," said Allan.

"Sounds like your getting there," said Suzette.
"Will that happen again ?" asked Laura.
"Possibly, the same meteor will come here again, those bits that came off last time will pass between the earth and a satellite knocking it out of orbit," said Suzette.

"So where will it hit ?" asked Fiona, "if we know, maybe something can be done to stop it."
"Don't ask, Fiona," said Suzette.
"But we can something, can't we," said Fiona.
"Tell you what, come and stand by me Fiona, Allan, Laura," said Suzette.

They appeared in the sky above the south pole, looking down to Mount Erebos, a ball of fire flashed by them, smashing into the mountains side.
Looking down Allan could see where the satellite hit the world.

"What is that hole ?, its pure darkness ?, what is it ?" asked Allan.
"That is hell," said Suzette.

Suzette pushed Laura away from her. Laura's body fell towards the earth, her limp body smashed into the top of the mountain, dislodging several rocks, causing an avalanche, most of the rocks filled the hole caused by the satellite.

Suzette, Allan and Fiona re-appeared in the bookshop.

"I have only a minute before I am the leader of all evil again, the Vampire Slayer wasn't told what she was for, just in case she tried not to stop that which would flow from hell. I hope that she will be remembered, she gave of herself. Father Bryant, when we first met, the growling sound that you heard, it was the gargoyles warning you that the devil was near. I hope you don't hear them again. Allan, if you see Laura again please say goodbye for me....and hello.

Suzette was gone.

Several parts of the meteor had their trajectory altered, they began a new journey, towards the sun.

THE END

QUESTIONS ? COMMENTS ?

Um, why in all existance would the prince of darkness (the devil) help one of it's enemies? I just don't understand.
I am thinking "What?!" that being would never help a human except to be bad, and would gladly accept anyone's help and decipleship!
Could it be, possibly, a civil war in perdition? That might explain it.
Some of what you have regarding 'him' is very accurate... as the evil one will enter a church to tempt someone, it just weaken's the evil one immensely! (think a bad sunburn on the sunny side of the planet Mercury).
What lead you to this idea?
Creative work, Sir.

Now try reading the story that I wrote. A little tip the name of the devil is Suzette = female. The story explains why she does what she does. If you put your meanings to the story and you don't understand them that is nothing to do with me.
Just be grateful for small mercies and hope I don't put the book The Two Swords here, that has God and the Devil working side by side to save humanity from the Devils Son.
