Never knew this existed but I always like finding "out of universe" stuff like this, especially for my fave Buffy ship.
 
Yep she was the luckiest demon, to be bound to a human that she loved and he gave her the reason not only to love him but also to want to kill him when he had the dumb sense to dump her on her wedding day.
 
Even without the shooting script (which, I agree, is a nice bonus for shippers) I always naturally assume that Angel was 'The One' for Buffy, even as she tried to re-capture that feeling and continue looking for somebody else. That's always what the show indicated.
The fact that nobody else came close in the remaining seasons isn't really the point- that's just melodrama- its the fact that she doesn't give up on finding it, that's the thing about her character.

I'm not really gonna comment on Anya except to say that Xander is her first proper relationship in about a thousand years so of course she's gonna be giddy about this 'first and best' romance of hers.
But I never got the same 'these two are meant to be' sense from Xander/Anya.
