The Red Screen Trilogy - Part 2

Chapter 1

Many years earlier.
A ten-year-old boy was in Dr. Lanstark's office.
"Your parents told me about something weird in you. Can you tell me more?
-There is a girl who is my friend but my parents never saw her.
-Why ?
-I think it's my sister but they don't believe me.
-However, said Lanstark. They told me that they saw a girl in your room peeking out, then we saw that it was you.
-In fact when she is there, I am elsewhere.
-Where are you ?
-In the void.
-Does this girl have a name?
-Yes. I'm Glory. "

In the fortress Glory contemplated the Orb. She wondered what it meant. Suddenly Dawn arrived, wearing a red dress.
"How do you find me?" Asked Dawn / Red Screen.
-I don't care. Said Gloria. I must find it absolutely. What is there in this Orb ?
-A ghost.
-Who?
-Tara. "
Gloria stood up and said to the Red Screen:
"You know that I created you.
-Know that I am more powerful than you. When I would have merged with my double. But I need a spirit and the spirit of Tara would be perfect. She was very close to Dawn as far as I know. For all this time Tara had known that I existed but she told no one about it, not even Dawn and Willow.
-That's why you killed her. Were you afraid she would reveal what she knew?
-She knew, said Dawn / Red Screen. She knew far too much. By killing her I was able to recover her soul and which I would use to become again the immortal being that I was. "
Dawn rested and put the Orb back in her pocket.

At the Summers house, Dawn was in her room with Emilie.
"So you are a goddess?
-Yes. Emilie replied. And I didn't even remember it. Doctor Lanstark told me there was another person in my body, but I didn't know that too.
-I also didn't know who I was before I discovered my identity as a Key. And here I am learning that I have a twin.
-Willow went off to face his double?
-That's it. Dawn replied. I hope that she will come back to it and that she will succeed in merging it with her double. Dr. Lanstark explained to us that good and bad should not be kept separate for too long. But don't worry, Willow is very powerful. "

On their side Buffy, Xander and Giles talk about the revelations on the Red Screen.
"We have to find a way to stop this bad Dawn or Red Screen or this duplicate of the Key. Said Buffy
-Before that, we must know what she is preparing. said Giles. And apart from what we say Willow, Dawn and Emilie, we have little information on these plans.
-I know some things"
The three friends turned to see Glory.

Chapter 2 :

"The Red Screen informed me of many things. She has an Orb enclosing Tara's mind. The reason the Red Screen killed Tara is because she knew too much."
Xander stood up and walked over to Gloria.
"I don't know if we should trust you, but you may be that we should.
-I think his help is necessary, Xander. Said Dawn who had just arrived with Emilie in the living room."
Gloria nodded and sat down.
"What you need to know. Said Dawn. It's that my double is probably planning dark projects. That's why we have to hope that Willow will find Dark Willow as soon as possible before the Red Screen. We have to find Tara’s mind and we have to recover it and make it free.
-How to release your soul? asked Xander.
-I do not know. Said Dawn. But as soon as Willow comes back we'll ask him. "

The other Dawn was in a secret room of the fortress. She felt inside her that Glory seemed to betray her more and more. That she wanted to help what they called the Scooby Gang. She also wanted to find her missing friend who would have betrayed her. But her friend never betrayed her, it was her own Key that betrayed her. Or at least part of her own Key. Suddenly something brought her out of her thoughts. A monk arrived.
"Your honor, anyone want to see you?"

Dawn / Screen Red entered the room and was the screen through which it communicated at the beginning. The screen revealing Dark Willow.
"How did you contact me? Asked Dawn
-By magic. Said Dark Willow. I do not know what you really are and your past. But I want you to help me destroy Willow. Know that soon I would be very powerful and I can share that power with you if you want.
-I might be able to help you if you accept my proposal. "
She pulled out of her pocket the Orb.
"The spirit of Tara meet me with my double into a single being invincible and then we can open the Vortex.
-Perfect. Said Dark Willow. Perfect"

Chapter 3 :

"So since all this time we know each other? Says Emilie
-It seems to me. Said Glory. I don't know if you betrayed me or if someone else did. There were two people who betrayed me: my sisters.
-From my rating I wonder who I share my body with?
-May be nobody. Said Glory. It is possible that you have never been banished but only decided to find me and returning to Earth but you forgot it.
- We have to see Doctor Lanstark. "

They had arrived at Lanstark's office.
"I can do something. Indeed Emilie, you might not share your body with someone if you have the theory is true. We will look at that."
He put Glory and Emilie under hypnosis and tried to delve into their memories, to discover the moment when it all happened.

At an indefinite time in another dimension :
Glorificus was in a gigantic amphitheater ready to be judged. And it would be Proserpexa and Illyria her two sisters who would pronounce the judgment. Next to Glorificus was a ball of light.
"Your Key told us about what you intended to do with our dimension. Began Proserpexa. You wanted to reign there and betray our Triumvirate. Do you have anything to say for your defense.
-Yes. You manipulated me and my Key. But, know all that I don't want this kind of conflict. You all know me. "
But no one seemed to listen to her. Glorificus was starting to feel her tears rising.
"Illyria." She said before her older sister. You are the oldest of all and maybe you will understand me, you have always understood me.
-What I understood. Said Illyria. You are no better than the humans you will join.
-You understood. Said Proserpa. You will be banished from our dimension, you will live with humans without remembering your past life. Your Key will be sent with you but will be hidden so that you do not find it. "
As Glorificus was brought in for her banishment she saw Emirus in the background approaching her.
"Look. Said Emirus. I know someone wanted to conspire against you. But I'm telling you something, you shouldn't trust this Key. Remember that she has a conscience.
-I do not believe it.
-Yet you should. "
Emirus had disappeared and Glorificus was facing the ball of light and now in another room.
"Where am I ?
-In your mind. Yes, I betrayed you Glory. All the time."
Glory and Emilie get out of their hypnosis. They knew a lot now.

Chapter 4 :

In another city, a gang was assaulting a young woman. Suddenly someone called them.
"You know what you are doing is very bad.
-Who are you ?
-Well let's say I'm just destruction and magic and Dark Willow. " She lifted the victim then spun her around before decapitating the gang and then burning the victim.
"You went there a little hard. Said the Red Screen
-I don't think so. I wanted to show you how destructive I was.
- My dear, said Dawn / Red Screen. I think we should avoid scaring people too much. At least for the moment"
Suddenly a figure appeared before them. Her face was invisible.
"Do you have the Orb?
-Yes my Lord. Said Dawn showing it to her interlocutor.
-Very good. You know that the great ritual has to take place. Your own double Dawn will be physically teleported to my lair. "
The silhouette disappeared.
"I didn't know there was someone above you?
- No one knows appart some people. But it was him who created me and offered me to Glory.
-And who is your master?
-Oh I don't know. I just know he made me."

At the Summers house, Buffy woke up from her nightmare. Dawn who was passing by entered her sister's room.
"A nightmare ?
-I dreamed that I was kicked out of my house by a gang of girls, that my friends no longer trusted me and that you chased me out of the house.
- Don't worry, I would never do that to you. You are my sister and I love you.
- Be reassured Dawn, we will find your double and make sure to put an end to it.
-What will happen to Glory and Emilie?
-I don't know but we know things from what they told us earlier. "
Dawn left the room leaving Buffy alone thinking about how to fix what's going on.
Buffy got up and went to the living room where Xander was.
"Aren't you sleeping?" Asked Buffy.
-I was thinking about Willow. Said Xander. I don't know what's going to happen to her. I know she is powerful but I don't want her double to kill her.
- Doctor Lanstark said that the two Willows should merge into one person.
-Willow got it, but not Dark Willow. Xander explained.
-Especially since now Dark Willow being independent of Willow, it's only evil. Said Buffy.
- Things are getting more and more complicated. Said Xander. But I hope we will get out of it. "
Buffy said nothing but hoped he would be right. She has saved the world many times, but since Alex saved Willow and the world, things have changed. No one knows who will save the world.

In a secret place, mysterious characters met in an immense amphitheater. They all wore hoods. One of them approached a hotel.
"Our Lord has promised us that the Vortex will open. The two parts of the Key will be united to open it. Now please take your hand and pray for our master."
The cultists did so and began to pray:
"Oh Dark Lord. God of Death. Vortex of the Universes.
We will soon be giving you the power you've been waiting for.
We, the Seniors Partners implore you to guide us towards our destination.
Because very soon the Key will be complete and the Vortex will finally open. "

Chapter 5 :

Glory was in the living room watching TV with Xander.
"Didn't you have a girlfriend?" Asked Glory.
-Yes. But Anya left. Sometimes we talk about it, but following events that I no longer prefer to talk about, we decided to see us less. But sometimes she takes news.
-Okay. And Spike?
-I don't know where he is right now. But Buffy told me he might come back. In any case, after what he did to her, I don't think he is welcome. Buffy will decide, it's her life. "
Glory didn't know what Xander thought of her, because he seemed to be very hesitant to talk to her.
"You know how much I suffered. Said Glory.
-It's not that, but it's hard to tell me that you are changing sides. However, I know you can do it. Glory, thanks to what we know about you, it gave us a different vision. And I think I could help you too. "
Glory took her hand and smiled at him. He withdrew his hand.
"It's going to be fine. Alex reassured her."


It had been several days since Willow had been looking for her double. But she had the impression that her double was doing everything to not find her trail. While she was quietly in a restaurant she saw a person who seemed familiar to her. She looked at the young woman who sat down at the table next to it. Willow understood who it was:
"Beth?
-But, it's Tara's girlfriend. Said the young woman. Your name is ...
-Willow.
-How's my cousin? It's been over a year since we cut the bridges. I think now I understand it.
-You can't get along with your family anymore.
-No. I even hesitated to leave to join you, but my uncle and my cousin refused. They said I would be ashamed. So how is she?
-She was killed. "
Willow saw the tears start to fall on Beth's cheeks.
"I took revenge and created a dark version of myself that today escapes from my body. Tara was such a sweet and kind person.
-That is true. Said Beth. But there is something you need to know. My family wanted to get Tara back with them to deliver her to the Dark Lord.
-But why ?
-Tara would have power in her. Unfortunately because of her death, it seems that his plan is different.
-I don't understand ? said Willow
-He will use her soul. For a ritual. Tara's mother died killed by her father because he feared that she would prevent him from one day bringing Tara to the Dark Lord. She was afraid of the power of the Dark Lord and his cult: the Senior Partners.
- It seems to me that they have a link with Wolfram & Hart. Said Willow.
-It's them who pull the strings from the start. Explained Beth. I spent years trying to understand all of this. But I'm sure everything that's happening right now is theirs. The Dark Lord is their master. And he is immortal.
-So the Maclay wanted to offer Tara to these people.
-Yes
-I have to save her soul and prevent the Seniors Partners and their master from accomplishing what they are going to accomplish. And I have to find my double. "

Chapter 6 :

Doctor Lanstark was in his office when suddenly he had Dawn's visit.
"How are you?" Asked the psychiatrist.
-Can be OK. Dawn replied. Don't you think things are getting complicated?
-Yes. The fact that we discovered a little more about the original Key and what happened to Glory and Emilie. But that's not all, I have the impression that someone is pulling the strings. That all are controlled by a force which awaits its moment. I had some information on secret cults and they evoke a Vortex. Giles told me about it but there is little about them. How are Emilie and Glory ?
-It's okay. It makes me weird to see Glory in the Scooby Gang. Very weird. "
Suddenly Dawn felt like sucking in an invisible force and found herself in a gigantic arena.

Dark Willow and the Red Screen had arrived in the gigantic palace of the Dark Lord. They arrived in the middle of an arena. The Seniors Partners were present by thousands in the stands. Dawn was also present and surprised to be there. Her double maleficent approached her.
"Finally, the master will be happy with this moment. Finally the Vortex can definitively open. Said Dawn / Red Screen. And finally the master's great plan will be concluded. All that has been done: the call of the Slayers, the creation of Wolfram & Hart, the banishment of Gloria, the death of Tara, the ascent of the Mayor, the prophecies, all this leads to the opening of the Vortex and the moment when the Dark Lord will reveal his ultimate power. "
Dawn / Red Screen placed the Orb on the hotel. Dark Willow approached then started to cast a spell on the magic object. The Orb lit up and a spirit sprang from it.
"Tara's mind will soon become one with the two of us." Said the Red Screen to Dawn.
Suddenly a spell struck Dark Willow from behind.

Willow had just arrived. Indeed Beth had decided to reveal the Dark Lord's palace. Willow cast a spell on her double to surprise her. Dark Willow turned around then calmly grabbed Beth and broke her neck.
"Finally I was waiting for you my dear. Said Dark Willow
-Do you like to kill? asked Willow wryly.
-It's so much fun. "
Willow felt hatred rising inside her and started casting spells on her double. The two Willows clashed in the arena in front of the Seniors Partners, the two Dawn and the spirit of Tara. As the fight became more and more intense. Dawn / Red Screen placed herself through Tara's mind and brought her double with her, taking her hand.
"It's time to merge."
At the same time Dawn felt intense pain as her body began to become one with the mind and her double.
But it was too late. Indeed a whirlwind began to appear: the Vortex was open.

Chapter 7 :

Dawn and the Red Screen were powered on both sides when the Vortex was fully open. The Red Screen turned to the Vortex and said:
"Master, this is open. We have succeeded.
-Perfect. Said a cavernous voice. The Vortex will open many portals and suck up the Triumvirate: Dawn, Willow and Emilie. "
Willow felt himself move away from the ground to be sucked in the Vortex, as did Dawn. Then everything went dark again.

Dawn, Willow and Emilie woke up in a desert place. Emilie was not there when the Vortex opened but the three were on the other side.
"Where are we?" Asked Dawn
-He succeeded. Said Willow. He sent us and trapped us in another dimension. I need to find a spell to get us out of there.
-It would tell me that we get there. I would have to merge with my double. Said Dawn. I wonder what will happen to Tara's mind. "
Willow looked towards where she seemed to be coming from.
"I don't feel any magic. I mean it's like the Vortex doesn't exist in this world."

On the other side Dark Willow advanced towards the Vortex.
"Where is Tara's ghost ?
-She's gone. Said Dawn / Red Screen. She must have left while the Vortex opened. Probably to ask Buffy for help. Find her.
-It would be with joy. Said Dark Willow. "
Dark Willow disappeared.
"Now." Said the Red Screen to Seniors Partners. "It's time to start what the Dark Lord wants."
Dawn / Red Screen took a knife and had her wrist bleed, then threw it towards the Vortex.
"We invoke you with our blood, we invoke the power of the Senior Partners and my power of the Key."
The Dark Lord's laughter was heard throughout the room, followed by screams, tears and complaints.
"The cries of the origin and the cries of the end. The Vortex will finally give free rein to the last Apocalypse."
Suddenly a lightning bolt burst from the Vortex and struck Dawn / Red Screen, covering it with an intense glow.
"That's it, the power is in me. The Dark Lord offers me his power. Come before us, master. We offer you the world."
It was then that the arenas were illuminated with lightning and whirlwinds and flames, striking each Seniors Partners. Then when all that calmed down, the Vortex was gone. The Senior Partners watched around them and saw Dawn / Red Screen shining like a light. The Red Screen pointed its finger at a Senior Partner and launched a lightning bolt which killed him on the spot and transformed him into a portal
"He offered me a power. That to open the portals through the death of any being. It is time to start the sacrifices."
