ILLYRIAN
Druish Pervonian Wizard
Thanks to those who gave permission for us purveyors of Fan Fiction to write our imagination of what Buffy and Cos: future may have held, here is my latest offering.
They Were Friends - 1
Buffy looked to Willow, “Why are they here, where did they come from, did someone set them on me?” asked Buffy. Willow looked into the chasm as did Buffy. They saw movement deep in the chasm the figures were too far from them to be seen. “What do you think?” “I don’t know I was hoping you did,” said Buffy.
Willow shook her head as she faced her friend. “I hoped that with your knowledge of magic you might know of a way to help you see further,” stated Buffy. Willow was surprised, it was the first time she had heard her friend ask her to use the magic to make her benefit herself, “You want me to make myself better than I am?” asked Willow.
“Why do you think it so strange my asking you to help?” asked Buffy. Willow felt guilty, she was trying to remember if Buffy had ever asked her to make herself better than she was. “You want me to make myself a better person than I am?” asked Willow. Buffy looked into the chasm, “For whatever reason I want to know what those down there are?”
Buffy looked to her friend, “Are they a danger to me, you, or any of our friends?” Willow stepped back from the edge and Buffy carefully watched her. It was as if Willow was pulling down something from above, then it looked like Willow was trying to raise something up from the ground then she pulled from in front of her then from behind she pulled from each side.
Buffy gasped as Willow walked to the edge of the chasm and pulled what was below her to her head. Willow stopped her motions, turned then walked to be beside Buffy. “I’m not sure how they are what they are, those creatures below us are vampires, gargoyles, Werewolves and Angels,” stated Willow.
Buffy looked into the chasm, she wasn’t very impressed by all the numbers she saw, she turned to Willow, “I don’t suppose you managed to count how many of each of them there were?” asked Buffy. Willow shrugged her shoulder, “There didn’t seem much of a reason to.” Deep in the chasm the vampires, Gargoyles and Werewolves looked up at the two figures atop the chasm.
The leaders of each group agreed that one of the gargoyles should fly to the top of the chasm and find out if those that were looking down at them were friendly or not. Leighton, he who was the leader of the Gargoyles flew up to the ridge then swung around low over the ground until no eyes were watching him, she watched the two young women.
Seeming that they were not a threat to him or his kind he flew down to pass on the news of them. He passed on the news of them, as each gargoyle was able to carry another to the top of the chasm the myriad of creatures soon confronted Willow and Buffy. Buffy recognised them as being those who the Watchers Council had ordered her to slay.
Buffy whispered to Willow, “I am meant to be the slayer of them but I sense that all is not right about them, I can sense that each one of them has a soul, what do I do?” asked Buffy. Willow was confused as she looked to the creatures that confronted her. She stepped towards them then smiled. Leighton stepped towards her, smiled then offered his hand in friendship.
Buffy reached to Willow’s shoulder and rested a hand on her, stepping forward until she stood beside Willow, “Thank you Will,” said Buffy. She looked to them then fixed her gaze at Leighton, “What are you here to do?” asked Buffy. Leighton waved her arm to Zaiare the leader of the vampires then to Veronian, she who led the Angels and Rey’d of the werewolves.
“We are here to find friends,” said Leighton. Willow grinned to Leighton, “I am but one of a group who seeks to protect the world from creatures who would do it and its population harm. My friend is Buffy she is known as The Vampire Slayer, chosen as the one who leads us to protect the world and its population though we do not speak for all of the world’s people.”
“I fight the creatures who would harm the world’s population in secret, only a few know who I am I would suggest you keep yourselves secret from the world’s population. They would fear you and in that sense of fear they would try to kill you, believe me the armies of the countries of this world take great delight in killing anything they can so be like me and remain a secret,” said Buffy.
“Only tell of yourself to a few,” continued Buffy. “Or you will find yourselves being attacked by those you are here to protect, many of those creatures on this world are what you or I might know as warmongers, to save them from those who would do them harm do so without either party knowing you exist, it will be safer for you,” said Willow.
Buffy and Willow led Zaiare to their home and taught him how to contact Willow’s mind should the need arise. “We have a friend who was a vampire, he sought out a soul for himself. He has proven himself to be good, though I’d ask you to see what you think of him for yourself, his name is Spike,” said Buffy.
Happy that Zaiare agreed Buffy took him to where he could see Spike. After waiting for what seemed like an age Zaiare spoke his thoughts about Spike, “He is surrounded by evil though he fights against it, I feel others are with him she who is Illyria the one who is a human his name is Gunn. There is one who I see is a leader of them, he fights against all evil but he has a capacity to return to being evil. He I do not trust as he might be turned at any time,” said Zaiare.
Buffy was happy that another though that Spike was good.
