Watchers: RESTORATION Season 2 Staff Search

Hi. I'm a staff member for a BtVS Virtual Spin-Off called "Watchers: RESTORATION". The series is set in the year 2130 and chronicles the adventures, mishaps, and exploits of a rebuilt Watchers Council. Among the primary characters in the series are Sebastian Giles, a descendant of Watcher Rupert Giles, Jocasta Rosenberg (descendant/reincarnation of Willow Rosenberg), and Katherine Allison (reincarnation of Willow's witchy girlfriend Tara Maclay). After completing our first 9-episode season, we are beginning to work on a second season and are seeking additional staff members. We are especially in need of artists, but are also seeking writers. Below is a series of guidelines that you must absolutely be able to follow if you're interested in applying. Please do not apply unless you have - or are willing to make - the time to make sure you follow these guidlines.

We're looking for folks interested in writing, art, etc. etc. that can help us with Watchers: RESTORATION Season 2. Writers must send us a sample a 3-5 page teaser that features Watchers: RESTORATION characters (more information about these characters can be found on our website). The same is true of artists. We need to see three samples of your artwork to see if it's a good fit. Just because someone applies does not mean they are chosen. We don't expect perfection, just what we judge as competence.

Here's some guidelines to consider before you race to sign up:

Our staff puts in 1-10 hours a week (sometimes longer) into Watchers: RESTORATION. Writers, artists, producers and everyone discusses episodes, pictures, etc. but CN and Sherry (our Executive Producers) have the final say in the direction the series goes.

We run a very tight ship and our crew gets along well because all our departments pull their weight. It's a big commitment in terms of time and energy so realize that now. The words '"I'll try" are not in the vocabulary of the Watchers Staff. As Andrew might say while quoting Yoda<G> "Do or Do Not - there is no try". We firmly believe this. People are assigned tasks and are expected to complete them without excuses. We realize...'life happens'...and some things are unavoidable. The unexpected IS expected but excuses are not.

Our staff is filled with very competent, committed people who do this as a team effort and understand it to be such. Bottom line, they don't half-ass their way through the assignments we give them and they complete them on time. Sometimes they are asked to do things over, and they do. They are respectful of one another on and off our lists. And they have no problem 'keeping secrets' - meaning that all discussion about the episodes STAYS on the Staff List.

This is important is because everyone needs to pull together for the season to run smoothly and for everyone to have fun. And we do have fun at Watchers: RESTORATION. It's not all doom and gloom as this disclaimer might seem. But in order to have 'fun' we can't leave each other hanging by not completing 'our end' of the deal.
